Adriano yet again, 4-0. I'm sorry for Javier and Esteban.

Aimar just scored the 4-1.

Great great goals alltogether.

"Kind of" weird that Pekerman didn´t even use Samuel in defence. Or is Samuel injured or signing a deal with us at the moment. :) Pekerman is using Heinze with Coloccini, Heinze! :dielaugh: No wonder it´s 4-1 already...

Not having a real fire power upfront did proof costly for Argentina. Anyhow all credit to them for fighting right to the end without giving up. Great spirit from the Argentineans. Hopefully our players can now have a proper rest before joining us a bit later than others for pre season training.

What a great decision Pekerman? You bench your best defender and think those clowns of central defenders collocini and heinze can handle the emperor?

Great win for Adriano and Brazil but I feel sad for Jz and cambi.

Great decision to bench the wall again.

Sigh.... Brazil are just too damn good on their day. It's like their entire team is linked together by a giant brain or something. They just took one of the best national teams in the world and completely embarrassed them.

Adriano's 1st goal was magnifico! I'd say even better than the one against Greece and of course he adds another Golden Boot to his collection. The sad thing is, Brazilian fans will still probably think he is garbage because Imperatore is threatening Fatty Ronaldo's place in the Seleção.

Argentina looked tired but that's still no excuse. Colocinni was absolutely awful. That might have been the worse game by a CD I've seen in this entire tournament. No wonder Milan got rid of him. The rest of the team was well below-average, even Capitano.

Yet another trophy to Brazil. :(

Woah, Brazil really turned on the style in this game. Argentina weren't second best certainly, but the clear distinction between the both of them were the quality of their finishers. Adriano dominated this game and rightfully so. It proves that you can isolate and mark him for long periods of the game but given an opening, he will make you pay for your lapse.

Several nice shots of Imperatore, top scorer and most valuable player. :proud:

I'm not surprised to say the least. As I told you before on MSN, if you give them a second chance after a poor start, they will make adjustments and come back stronger then before. Brazil did this in the last World Cup, and did it again in the Confed Cup. It seems like they can turn on the style when they want to.

It was a dream to watch Adriano play like this. He's such a force with both his size and skill on the ball, and you just sense that when he lines up a shot for his left that it's going to cause trouble. The kid is really amazing, blessed with a complete game.

ARRGGHH, i m getting tired of brazil, its about time that some other team start winning something, and i just dont know y is samuel that much under-rated, He played fine in the first 3 games, infact heinze was doing rubbish out there, (remember the goal in the game vs australia.HAHA). And Pekerman decide to make him sit on the bench, ??.
Anywayz, Adriano once again proofed that he is a total asset, just that when he comes up with perfomances like these, He increases chelsea's desire to sign him, Chelsea have already made a 65mill (pounds)000 offer for him, and with performances like these it wont take abrahimovic, to increase this bid to a point, which inter definetly could not refuse

YEAH YEAH BRAZIL RULES :shades: Thats what I like about thís team they just keep attacking even though they where 2 goals in front. They where simply classes better then Argentina today. And Adriano simply knocked Argentina out :boxing: his first goal was simply superb.

Argentina missed alot of creativity compared to Brazil who created dosins of chances and Argentina have to be pleased that they didn't humiliate them more then they did.

And Gaetan your right Brazil is simply outstanding when it comes to the decisive games, and finals. They simply have a psychical advantage. Even thoug they have been very poor the moste off the turnament then they can raise their level with several degrees and simply knock their opponent out. like they did today.

I'm so pleased with the outcome of this Final. :smileani:

FORZA BRAZIL :proud:

Samuel only played 2 games in the group stage by the way, and i actually don't recall being too impressed by his play.

What makes you think we can't refuse the bid? If we have the desire to keep Adriano, and the man wants to play for us, then we have the right to reject any offer that comes our way.

Ciao,
Tim

Pekerman is either a fool or he didn't want to win this tournament. What the heck did he think he is doing by playing Placente and going with a totally different game plan? No matter how bad Samuel was, he is still a CD!!!

And he paid for not bringing a target man upfront. Why the heck did he think that Crespo is more tired than JZ and Cambi when he clearly played less games than them? At least bring Palermo or someone.

And the Argetinian players are chokers. They were nervous, and they were afraid of losing to Brazil from the first seconds. Heck, they remined me of Inter today.

And Brazil :star: :star: :star: Oh My Lord!!! This team is magnificent, even a hater can one day cheer for them. I've been hating Brazil since I first saw them in 88, but with this kind of display they force you to love them.

And Adriano :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: I was glad he got the golden boot and the golden ball, what a way to end the season. He deserves a long break now, at least a month!

Okay, that was down right embarassing, I thought Bielsa was coach for a second.
Don't get wrong, but if Argentina really were pathetic, in a way lost the match before it began.

For the life of me, I can't understand why Collocini started ahead of Milito and/or Rodriguez and why Heinze was a centre back ahead of Samuel (who is one of the only defenders who can stop Adriano on his day), truly stupid. Then there was Bernadi (I mean, even Santana is better) and Delgado, FFS, you have players with the calibre of Tevez and Aimar on the bench, and you play those hacks.

When Aimar is on (or D'Alessandro), there is so much less pressure on Riquelme, Aimar comes on and scores, I don't understand why Tevez isn't playing, I heard a rumour that Pekerman doesn't want the big nations to see Tevez before the WC so they can't play anything on him, but that sounds far from the truth.
Lux ain't great either, Franco is a better number 2, behind Abbondanzieri. Strikeforce is okay, wasn't Figueroa's day, no Crespo, Tevez, Saviola, Maxi, Milito and Cavenaghi.

IMO this Argentina team can still easily win the World Cup.

Zanetti............Ayala........................Milito..................Heinze

I won't be shocked if there was something behind the scene. Maybe Pekerman didn't want to win this tournament to start with. Maybe he doesn't want the team to come with high expectations to the WC.

Remember WC02 when they came as the absolute class of the world and tanked? I guess he wants the team to come in as sort of underdogs and then take it!

Argentina is plagued with horrible NT's as of late. I wanted Cuper to coach the NT in fact, he might be defensive, but he'd do a hell more with this great NT.

P.S: Who is Lucho? Is that Sorin?

What can I say Adriano is pure class. Argentina played extremely bad...I mean seriously that was like England in the early 90's where all they do is run to the corner flag and then try to cross the ball from there? Where were the unique attacks or ideas up-front? And isn't Sorin supposed to be a defender or something? Cause I always see him up front screwing every Argentinian attack. Figuroa is only good against teams like Australia, while starting with Tavez was a must. Well at least Adriano didn't dissapoint....if Adriano didn't play with Inter then I would've supported Argentina but hey...

Pekerman is a great coach, and has some of the most talented Argentinean players and squad it has had for years.

I'm sure something is going on, Tevez that I know would be furious to start from the bench, but I'm starting to think those rumours are true, that Pekerman doesn't want to play Tevez so the other nations don't see what he is capable of and don't plan things for him, smart move, I guess.

Confidence, Argentina has had too much of it, Pekerman will let us have confidence, but he won't let arrogance get in the way, that was one of the deals he made with Riquelme late last year when he was recalled.

Lucho is Luis Gonzales of River Plate, soon to join Porto.
My favourite Argentinean player, only 24 years old, but so farking talented. Better than Cambiasso, IMO.
Zanett e Ayala are getting by, I think Lucho should be captain.
You probably haven't seen much of him, Hamed, but once you do, you'll be impressed as feck.

All right, I think I heared about him, but I haven't seen him, but looking forward to I guess.

But do you think he should be the captain at 24? that will be an insult to all the senior players. I know Dinho is at 25, but he has played for about 3-4 years now with the senior squad.
