If we spy Javier Zanetti, we can close the club.

It's a circle. If everyone who comitted a crime would say "give us justice, then demand it from us", we'll live in a chaos.

The club would never followed JZ since they trust him completely. The same probaly didn't apply to Vieri.

Maybe he was pulling an A.Cole?? We will never know. But I am pretty sure if he was followed there was a good reason to do it.

Crespo, Figo, I
the thing in italia is that the FIGC is so corrupt, they don't function normally..
Moggiopoli is just around the corner...
so this is a political battle, not a clear right or wrong situation...
Moratti should know better what he has to say...

Yeah Frisko, I siad I would never argue with you on Bobbo any more. But if you think him taking a picture with Maldini is disrespecting Inter, then that is just plain stupid.

No, Frisko probably implies that sucha close friendship/business relation with a Milan icon is not virtue of an inter legend. Which for the record I agree, would you ever see JZ or Cafe doing the same?

In the end I don't care he is just mercenary.

Vic, they were friends through the Italian National Team. If Ayala played for Milan and Zanetti was posing a picture with him catanha would have change to his underwear and I'm sure alot of you wouldn't find it betraying at all.

It's just because it's Vieri. Playa hataz

Doubt Zanetti will show so much closure with a Milanista player even Ayala! He knows that he is an Inter icon and getting close to Milan players is not a good look. Did you ever hear of Crespo Zanetti being soo tight when he was a Milanista?

Not gonna argue further but Bobo did not just have a close friendship with Maldini but a business relationship which suggests they are quite close! Bobo is not a mature being yet IMO.

Oh my god, this is like hte most childish thing I have ever heard. They play for national teams, they become friends etc etc.
So you guys will honestly have a problem, seeing Adriano or Kaka together in an advertisment or something? Or maybe Terry and Ferdinand shouldnt hang out anymore together.

Seriously, players have their life outside football. So what if they are taken a picture of with a BBilan/juBe player? Ok, some of you guys dislike Vieri, but when you are to disrespect him, find decent reason to do it. This is laughable on your part.

I will not be a hypocrite, I remember attacking Vieri like there was no tomorrow back when those pics were first out (2003?)

Zanetti-Ayala, Kaka-Adriano etc. are all foreigners at the end of the day. Maybe those players played/supported the same team growing up and being from the same land in a foreign land can be some kind of a bond.

I just expected our Italian players to be hard-core Interista and never hang out publically with our rivals' legends, such as Maldini, Inzaghi etc.

Maybe it's not so much Vieri, but I find it kind of hard to see a player of ours hanging out with Maldini. I mean you'd never see an Arsenal player hanging out with R Keane etc.

But I admit that I was naive back then (I also believed babies come by themselves) and that soccer isn't as 'loyal' as it used to be.

Now I don't really care, but I prefer not to see a player of ours hanging out with DP or Gattusso.

Obviously.

But would you be angry if an Inter player and a Milan player posed for pictures in an effort to raise funds to charity? Or a smile or a hug during a match with the same purpose?

I mean, you can't pick on players for everything they do. If two players have played at the same club for five years and then go to one rival team each, can you blame them for remaining friends?

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if players from rival teams hang out a lot in private, just that it's not taken pictures of.

Note, Hamed, this isn't directed at you personally, more general questions for the critics of Vieri in this thread. So please, don't take any offence.

No, I won't. But I used to get pissed when I see them getting too cozy and smiley on the pitch, and having a business together (like Vieri-Maldini) used to drive me crazy.

However, one of the few things I loved about Veron was his ferocity against rival players. I still remember the way he shoved off Crespo in the derby a couple of years ago.

Crespo and Veron go way way back, they are from a foreign country that ended up playing together few times in two different foreign leagues. You'd think that that is enough (certainly more than Vieri-Maldini) for them to be like brothers.

Still, Veron gave Crespo a violent shove that showed he didn't give a fark about history.

None taken, and you made your point nicely and cleanly, so there is no reason whatsoever to start with.

I see your point and agree. Even though the players are friends off the pitch, they shouldn't under any circumstance show this on the pitch. In this area I like the saying that goes like this: "Enemies until the whistle is blown for full-time".

I am a firm believer that the football life of a player is like an alter ego from his personal life. I'm alright with any of our players being close buddies with any Milanisti or Juventini as long as that off-the-field relationship does not translate into playing half-assedly against them on the pitch.

Vieri is top 3 strikers in my opinion in all times that I saw to play hehe.. together Romário and Batigol. If the ball to be near the goal and with Bobo playing, certainly would happen the goal :D
