If Eriksen was like barella off the ball, he would be worth 150 million, and he wouldn't be here. Same goes for Hakimi if he could pass.

Hakimi is at the start of his career he can learn to pass

Eriksen not so much. Tho him benching Gags and Vidal is magical.

As long as we can get a solid LWB this summer we should be good for next season but we need subs. Our bench is fking trash. Especially the Conte changes.

Our bench or lack thereof is only geared up for playing 1 competition a season. We can do one game a week well, provided there are no injuries to key players. This is because of 2 reasons:

1. Conte's style requires a lot of energy and hard work every game
2. Quality is inch deep in our squad. We barely have a quality starting XI and a couple of subs, and then the quality drops off a cliff. So rotation to avoid fatigue is not an option.

This has been apparent in the last 18 months, as I have pointed out before. Whenever we have a run of 6-7 games once every 3 days, near the end of the run we drop a lot of points. This typically happens around the CL games, and is one of the reasons why we fuck up around that time (not denying there are other reasons). On the other hand, when we have 1 game a week and all our starters are fresh we do well, the last 2 games are just one example of that. I know Brehme & Co will post a laundry list of other reasons for our CL debacles like Conte being a tactical mouse, Marotta being a double agent, Inter missing our guardian angel Wanda, etc and some of these reasons may be valid, but if you are looking for a headline reason, this is it. We are missing 2-3 quality players to effectively compete in all competitions coz of our style of play.

In other words, finishing last in the CL group this season has been a blessing in disguise for us and possibly is a big reason why we are favourites for the Scudetto. If we were still playing in the CL/EL, the last 2 games may not have gone the way they did. Obviously we would all prefer to be in the CL (I don't give a fuck about EL), but our squad is not geared up for that at the mo.

Again I have mentioned this 1 million times. Rano making 1.5 million + for 10 seasons to each bench is insane!! Guy is like 6th choice. Now Vidal and Sanchez at 14 million+ especially without fans why!!

I know they were free agents but no other team in the world would have signed them.

Now Eriksen we paid for a free agent then tripled his wages.... then didn’t play him for exactly 1 year..... then are like why are we broke!!

Rano's salary is actually fine for a backup player. Only Bastoni who still is on his youngster contract, Gagliardini and the two GKs earn less than Ranocchia. Ranocchia is the least of our problems. If you want to express your anger for Inter overpaying players salaries there are much better examples:

-Nainggolan 4.5m
-Kolarov 3m
-Young 3m
-Vecino 2.5m

and of course the two you mentioned, Sanchez and Vidal:

-Sanchez 7m
-Vidal 6.5

Still think Conte prefers Vidal over him as LCM, no reason to believe otherwise as of yet. Let's not forget Vidal was suspended for Juve Coppa game and injured/not fit enough for Lazio and Milan, so he was in part forced to play him and thankfully Eriksen impressed. Let's wait and see who Conte starts against Genoa and Parma. Vidal is better defensively, but it should be Eriksen against such opposition as he offers so much more in counter-attacking play, passing/vision and dead-ball situations. I personally think he will start Eriksen in the next 2 games and sub Vidal for him during the game and if he doesn't impress Conte enough, we will sadly see Vidal starting again from Atalanta onwards.

It will be stupid Conte to bench Eriksen now, when he is gaining back his top form.

Plus it would be stupid to bench him against a Genoa side that is going to park the bus at Meazza. We're going to need Eriksen creativity and set pieces a lot more than Vidal physicality.

No matter what happens, Eriksen will always be first sub for Gagliardini or Vidal, just like Lautaro with Sanchez. That's almost unavoidable.

I also don't "trust" Conte all that much to resist the urge to return to his fetishes but as long as Eriksen keeps up the intensity, he'll be in the mix - hopefully as a starter from here on out.

Never understimate Conte. He's very capable of screwing up a winning formula.

Eriksen will surely start games if he plays like he has done in recent matches. Vidal was injured so there's no reason to use him as a starter at this point. As LCM, I'd actually replace Barella with Vidal at some point in coming weeks (maybe even against Genoa?).

And if there will be some aggressive team, with meat grinder midfield, Conte might prefer muscle with Vidal/Gags?

Barella is a yellow away from a suspension and I believe brozo as well? Hope they pick one up before atalanta, we need to be smart about it

Well said. Many of your comments are spot on especially this one and the one about the need to keep Conte.

I think it's established now that Eriksen has risen above Gagliardini in the pecking order, given that Eriksen started against Juve, Lazio and Milan and Gagliardini only got 30 min in 2 sub-ins, but as I said, if thats the case with Vidal aswell remains to be seen these coming games.

Makes sense ur voted most pessimistic member that u agree with the trash he wrote in that post.

I like how he also keeps bringing up Brehme every other post as well to make his point, because he is the only one that disagrees with his garbage off-course.

If you read most of his comments you can't help but to agree with him. The only issue that I didn't seem to understand is his patience with Sensi. :)
