We have every weapon imaginable to succeed in a 4-4-2. Eriksen, sensi, barella, brozovic can all play at the same time. Its a wild thought, but worth a try.

We didn't change the squad for Godin or Skriniar. We did not change it for Eto'o either. If Eriksen had higher work rate, we could be more accommodating. But clearly he's reluctant to adapt.

Poor Eto'o was relegated to the wing for a whole season, from playing tiki-taka to defending in his own half smh. Conte needs to stop being a prick but Eriksen also needs to put more effort and put the team first.

There's no fact at all. They had some games with an attacking three of pandev, Milito, and Eto'o. Eto'o opening up out wide to counter attack didn't make him a winger.

Why is work rate an important characteristic in a position that involves technique, patience and precision. He's not going to turn into mezzala.

What was our starting formation in the 2009-10 season and what position did Eto'o play? Anyway this doesn't take away from my point, Eto'o was a center forward and the main striker at Barca but when he came to Inter he deferred to Milito, at least in important games, for the betterment of the team. I don't think it's too much to ask Eriksen similarly to sacrifice his play style for the sake of the team if its what the coach wants and gets us the result we need. Its unfortunate Eriksen didn't get his assists because the conversation would be very different but...
