i don't mind this at all. He and Darmian can rotate on that RCB spot and he's much better than Dambrosio. So, he's not a Skriniar replacement, but a Dambrosio one, cause Darmian is pretty much a Skriniar one.... Problem will become, when we do need a younger CB.

I don’t have a problem with Azpi necessarily. He was a quality cb when Chelsea played with 3 at the back on the exact same position we need strengthening and like some other members already said: the veterans we purchaced the last years where almost everytime a succes.

The problem is the overall backline. We have Acerbi, De Vrij, Darmian and Azpi who are all quite old, on high wages and on multiple years contract. That will give us problems sooner or later.

I dont mind Azpili either but I understand other people concern here. Too many players are retiring at the same time and next year we have to replace the whole backline. A disaster is waiting to happen, when the new guys don't (can't) click immediately.

Ideally we integrate at least one kid this year then he has time and space to get used to the team rhythm. But we have to find resource first.

Even if we get Azpi, we still one CB short. Acerbi, Bastoni, Darmian, De Vrij, Azpi. Bisseck has room there for that 6th spot.
