Honestly, I don't see how he would fit anymore. The Deki, Cuchu, Zanetti generation belongs in the past. I like the direction Mazzarri is taking Inter, with the players he requested to do the job. He shouldn't let some player hierarchy influence his decisions.

Zanetti and Cambiasso might not be manipulating the coach themselves, but the coach might just play them out of respect anyway.

Mazzarri want 2 wings that play also offense, you know perfectly zanetti can't play offense cause can't pass, cross and shoot.
Mazza has said that a wing crossing and the other one scoring is his football; if you'll see zanetti playing starter RW will be only because jz40 must break maldini record

Icardi has to start we lacked a point of reference up front without him because Palacio tends to drift out wide and Alvarez is by no means a player who can stay in the box and create opportunities for himself (it's not a shot at Alvarez he's a completely different player.)

Cambiasso will surely play. Even if Mazzarri has plans on not playing him and keeping him out of the starting lineup, this is too early. After Catania we have Juve. And I'm sure Mazzarri won't trust any combination of the youngsters for that match. Since Cambiasso has to play against Juve, he will play a part in this too.

Maybe after that match, he could be out of the lineup. Maybe..
