What mancio actually means is nobody wants to take tevez at our price. Lets see if city sticks to that as the mercato countdown continues. Lots happen in the last days of the mercato.

The only possible replacement for Eto'o. Lavezzi does not score enough and Forlan is old news. Lavezzi might be able to create more goal chances for Pazzini, but placing the scoring burden solely on one player is not going to work. Pazzini is not the striker that Eto'o is. At Napoli, the burden placed upon Cavani was eased by Hamsik scoring 11 goals. So Lavezzi scores 6-8, Pazzini hit 25, will Sneijder be able to get 10? Milito? Pandev? Who is going to be the third player to help score those goals?

Sneijder could score more if he was used in advance position (like in a free-role in 3-4-3 in attack). Milito will surely help, I don't think he will suck that bad he did last season.

Too many injuries last season imo. If he can stay healthy, he'll be of help especially if Pazzo gets injured/over-worked.

Pazzo if he starts all the time, will score 25 goals minimum easily all season. Maicon, Wes and hopefully someone from the left as well to give him assists.

Goals have never been a problem, creating chances is the biggest problem at Inter. We have good finishers in Pazzo, Milito, Castaignos and now have added to our outside the box shooting ability with Alvarez, that left foot is awesome.

And to me Pazzo, if played correctly in Europe, will be a revelation. Werder Bremen didnt know what hit them last year this time around. All we need to do is cross it anywhere near him.

Why I want Tevez is because I know he will bring some tempo to our attack which is what we will lack without Eto. Plus he's capable of making runs and sometimes leading a team all by himself a la Ibra. Even if he doesnt score he is always looking to win the ball back. Wesley can feed off him and he will also take the pressure off our CM's because he plays deep, infact very deep sometimes. He's like Gattusso who is 10x quicker and (sorry to use the term) like a rabid dog without the ball. I'd still sign him and another midfielder, someone who can hold the ball in midfield. That would take our team to the next level IMO higher than say what a Forlan or Lavezzi will do.

totally agreed sun...

eto'o brings too much to the table to be replaced by just lavezzi or forlan, and for me tevez is the only one who can fill his boots. although the economic portion of this deal still kind of bewilders me, especially if it means signing 2 players...wasnt the sale of eto'o supposed to ease our financial burden?

Nothing against Tevez's caliber as a player but it doesn't make sense for Inter to go out and get him. They are clearly trying to generate more money and slash the wage bill, it's no secret. So how does Tevez all of a sudden become an option to look at?
The only distant rumor that might work is the loan option I figure but even then, it's only for a season I believe, unless he just accepts dramatic cutbacks in his salary.
Not to keen on this transfer.

INTER 2009/10 !
Tevez will be Inter player, sooner or later.. And it's most likely it will be loan + option to buy.. It has to happen, history of similar transfers proves this..

I mean, City won't stay at current situation, Dzeko, Aguero, Balotelli, Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Milner, Johnson, Tevez?.. That would be just too much, even for them..

Totally agree, thats why i rather Samu leaving than Sneijder..

Agree, but i am only looking forward to a loan deal for tevez as he has a attitude problem...cant imagine we buy him and he ask to leave a year later... hate that...!!!
On another midfielder i would go for Diego(cheap) can try out.. the season he has with jube was a team failure not only him failing...

Striker: Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko

Santa Cruz and Adebayor will never put on a City shirt again. Milner plays central midfield and Johnson is a substitute winger, he currently isn't good enough to start.

No one at City expects Balotelli to stay more than a year or two. Unless he makes an impact this year, he will be gone next summer. I can tell you that no one at City are eager to get rid of our top scoring talisman, which is why we repeatedly tried to convince him to stay.

If it is a loan, then it will obviously ease our financial burden significantly. If it is a loan w/ option, then it may end up being close to a wash. Still, if we get 40 for Samu, Tevez may only cost 35, and then when you factor in that Tevez's wages are close to 10 million less than Eto'o, the amount saved could approach 15 million. Not a windfall but still good business, arguably.

Of course, if Tevez flops, that's a different story. But I don't think the management are dumb enough to sell Eto'o then just buy Tevez for the same price. I'm still holding out for loan + option which would just be fantastic.

Sun ... if you looking for someone in midfield who can hold ball .. we already have it.. Motta and Esteban is capable if only JUST HOLD Ball.. even Captain Javier is great for holding ball..but we know it, Wesley is not really superb again in midfield for me.Sometimes he missed it.Alvarez is upgrade,he can hold ball also pass and shoot from outbox. But we understand, Alvarez is lack of stamina. He can't make it for 90minutes. Tevez is a beast. We know it. Beside the attitude has a problem. i believe he will be ok at Inter. Inter have great atmosphere. just like a family.
