On July 7, 2011, Josu Urrutia won the presidential elections of Athletic Club. The coach chosen by him to lead Bilbao was Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentine, from his commitment with the already president, had devoted himself to study the team. He also received offers from other clubs such as Inter Milan, Sevilla FC or Real Sociedad, but the negotiations did not progress. After Athletic lost the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals 2–1 in Lisbon, they overturned this result in the return leg and ran out 4–3 winners on aggregate against Sporting, when Fernando Llorente scored the winner in the 88th minute. This set up a match with Atlético Madrid in an all-Spanish Europa League final. Athletic, however, would lose 3–0 in the final, played on 9 May at the Arena Națională, Bucharest. On 25 May 2012, Athletic also lost the Copa del Rey Final against Barcelona at the Vicente Calderón Stadium, falling 3–0. The 2012–13 season was a major disappointment for Athletic: the sale of key midfielder Javi Martínez to Bayern Munich, and striker Fernando Llorente being frozen out of the club over contract disagreements, led to the Lions' performances faltering. After finishing only in 12th place in La Liga, on 7 June 2013 Athletic's president revealed that Bielsa would not be offered a new contract and when it expired on 30 June 2013, he left the club...

On 2 May 2014, Marseille president Vincent Labrune announced the hiring of Bielsa as his team's coach on a French radio station. Labrune had previously confirmed an agreement in principle had been reached after the club's 0–0 Ligue 1 draw with Lille on 20 April. Bielsa signed a two-year contract set to begin after the 2014 World Cup, thus becoming the club's first Argentine coach. He led them to the symbolic title of "autumn champions" after they beat Lille OSC on Matchday 19 (on 21 December 2014) of the 2014–15 Ligue 1 season before they faded to finish fourth in Ligue 1 at the end of the season. On 8 August 2015, after losing opening 2015–16 Ligue 1 match against Caen, Bielsa announced his resignation as the result of conflicts with the club's management...

Upon joining, Bielsa wanted to bring a more youthful side to Lille's squad and before the season started he informed 11 experienced players including Vincent Enyeama, Marko Baša, Rio Mavuba and Eder that they could leave the club. Then Lille OSC player Éric Bauthéac revealed that Bielsa informed the players he wanted to leave in a conversation before pre-season had even began. On 22 November 2017, Bielsa was suspended as coach after just 13 games in charge, with Lille OSC announcing he had been "suspended momentarily as coach" pending further announcement. On 15 December 2017, Lille announced Bielsa's contract had now been terminated. Sporting adviser Luis Campos revealed after Bielsa left, that he felt the decision to let some of the experienced players leave was the key to the departure...

On 15 June 2018, Bielsa became Championship club Leeds United's new head coach to replace Paul Heckingbottom, signing a two-year contract with the option of a third year, after two weeks of negotiations with the club. In doing so he became the highest-paid manager in Leeds United history. Leeds finished the regular season in third place and qualified for the playoffs, after an injury hit season, Leeds also had several key players out injured for their playoff campaign. In the semi-final playoffs versus sixth-placed Derby County, they were beaten on 3–4 aggregate over the two legs. Why is he rated that highly by MM? I read on GDS that he has motivational skills, but 41% is not really what we want..

Ya statistically he does not look like someone I would like at Inter. The number I always look at is the Average points per season. Once it goes below the high 70's, I begin to get skeptical...Check out these number, stunning!

Barcelona president Joan Laporta announced before the end of the 2007–08 season that Guardiola would be appointed manager of FC Barcelona to replace Frank Rijkaard at the end of the season...

By moving to Barcelona's first team, Guardiola has become the most successful manager in recent memory. In 4 seasons with the club, he achieved the following:

3 - La Liga Titles (2008–09, 2009–10, 2010–11)
2 - Copa del Rey (2008-09, 2011-12)
3 - Supercopa de España (2009, 2010, 2011)
2 - UEFA Champions League Titles (2008-09, 2010-11)
2 - UEFA Super Cups (2009, 2011)
2 - FIFA Club World Cups (2009, 2011)

On 27 April 2012, he announced he would step down as Barcelona's coach at the end of the 2011–12 season. He had been on a rolling contract that was renewed annually during his tenure as manager. Citing tiredness as the main reason for his decision, he also commented that four years at a club like Barça felt like an eternity. Guardiola continued to lead Barcelona to wins in the remaining La Liga games of the season, followed by a 3–0 win in the Copa del Rey final. His record of 14 trophies in four seasons has made him the most successful coach in Barcelona's history. Barcelona announced that he would be succeeded by Tito Vilanova, who would begin leading the first team at the start of the 2012–13 season...

On 16 January 2013, it was announced that Guardiola would take over as manager of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich after the 2012–13 season, replacing Jupp Heynckes for the following season. In December 2013, Guardiola won his third Club World Cup after beating Raja Casablanca in Morocco. On 25 March 2014, he led Bayern to their 23rd Bundesliga title by beating Hertha BSC 3–1 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. With seven matches remaining in the season, it was the earliest the championship had been won in Bundesliga history, breaking the record Heynckes' Bayern had set in the previous season. He finished the 2013–14 season by winning the DFB-Pokal 2–0 in extra–time. Guardiola would go on to win two more Bundesliga titles. On 20 December, Bayern confirmed that Guardiola was leaving the club after his contract expires at the end of the season, with Carlo Ancelotti his replacement for the 2016–17 season...

On 1 February 2016, Manchester City signed Guardiola to a three-year contract for the start of the 2016–17 season. Guardiola finished the season with no trophies – the only time he has finished a season without a trophy. He stated mid-season that the coaching role at City "might be his last team" as manager and stated not winning a trophy, of the four available to City, constituted a "failure". However, he articulated his desire to improve the following season. On 25 February, City beat Arsenal 0–3 to win the Carabao Cup, this was Guardiola's first trophy with City. On 15 April, City were confirmed as Premier League champions following Manchester United's 0–1 defeat at home to West Bromwich Albion. After finishing the season with a record-breaking 100 points, Guardiola signed a new contract with City until 2021. On 5 August, City began the season with a 0–2 victory over Chelsea and won the 2018 FA Community Shield. On 24 February 2019, his side faced Chelsea in the EFL Cup Final held at Wembley Stadium. The game ended 0–0 after extra-time, but Manchester City won 4–3 on penalties retaining the trophy for the second year in a row. On 12 May, he won his second consecutive Premier league title after finishing on 98 points, one point above Liverpool, after his side beat Brighton & Hove Albion 1–4 away on the final day of the league. ANDRÉ VILLAS-BOAS CAREER LEAGUE COACHING RECORD

ACADÉMICA DE COIMBRA (2009-2010)
Games: 23
Record: 8-6-9
Home Record: 4-3-4
Away Record: 4-3-5
Winning Percentage: 35%
Total Points: 30
Average Points Per Game: 1.30

At the start of the 2009–10 season, Villas-Boas abandoned Mourinho's staff to pursue a career as manager, and he soon found a job in the Primeira Liga with Académica de Coimbra, filling a vacancy created by Rogério Gonçalves' resignation in October 2009. At the time of Villas-Boas' appointment, Académica were at the bottom of the league and still without wins, but their luck started to change as he introduced a new style, leading them to a safe 11th place, ten points clear of the relegation zone. In addition to that, Académica also reached the 2009–10 Portuguese League Cup semi-finals, losing against Porto at the Estádio do Dragão with a late goal from Mariano González. His impact at Académica was immediate, not only because of solid results, but also because of the attractive football displayed by the team, which led to intense media speculation linking him with the vacant job at Sporting Clube de Portugal after the departure of Carlos Carvalhal in the summer of 2010...

FC PORTO (2010-Present)
Games: 30
Record: 27-3-0
Home Record: 14-1-0
Away Record: 13-2-0
Winning Percentage: 90%
Total Points: 84
Average Points Per Game: 2.80

When Jesualdo Ferreira left Porto, Villas-Boas' name was also linked with the job at Estádio do Dragão, and he was finally announced as their new manager on June 2, 2010. On August 7, 2010, he won his first trophy when Porto beat Benfica 2–0 in the Portuguese Supercup. He followed this with the Portuguese Primeira Liga, UEFA Europa League and Portuguese Cup titles.
In his first season as coach, Villas-Boas set the following records:

- By winning the UEFA Europa League on May 18, 2011, he is the youngest manager ever to win a European competition, at 33 years and 213 days of age.
- The club record for the most matches across all competitions unbeaten (36). This record was previously held by José Mourinho at 33 matches. Part of this streak was completed by the previous coach of FC Porto, Jesualdo Ferreira.
- The most wins in Europe in one season by a Portuguese club (14).
- The most points in a 30-game Portuguese league season (84).
- The highest number of consecutive wins in the Portuguese league (16).
- The biggest margin over the second placed team in the league (21).
- The only team to go unbeaten through a Portuguese league season aside from Benfica in 1972/73 and 1977/78

On April 3, 2011, Villas-Boas won his first Primeira Liga, five rounds before the end, by defeating second-place Benfica 2–1 away at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, becoming the third youngest coach to win it, only behind Mihály Sistka (1938–39) and Juca (1961–62). It is the second time that Porto won the Portuguese league by beating its rival at its home soil, the first time being 71 years ago, in the 1939–40 season when Porto clinched the title by defeating Benfica at the Estádio das Amoreiras.
On May 22, 2011, Villas-Boas won the Treble by winning the Portuguese Cup, equalizing Tomislav Ivić (when he won 4 titles for Porto in 1987/88), and making Porto the first (and only) European team to win a treble twice (Portuguese League, Portuguese Cup and UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League).

Guus Hiddink Turkish National Team statistics isn't there so i will try to help you. :)

Turkish NT with Guus Hiddink:

Turkey 2-0 Honduras - Friendly
Turkey 2-1 Czech Rep. - Friendly
Turkey 2-0 North Ireland - Friendly
USA 2-1 Turkey - Friendly
Kazakhstan 0-3 Turkey - Euro 2012 Qual.
Turkey 3-2 Belgium - Euro 2012 Qual.
Germany 3-0 Turkey - Euro 2012 Qual.
Azerbaijan 1-0 Turkey - Euro 2012 Qual.
Holland 1-0 Turkey - Friendly
Turkey 0-0 South Korea - Friendly
Turkey 2-0 Austria - Euro 2012 Qual.
Belgium 1-1 Turkey - Euro 2012 Qual.

So it is;

Games: 12
Record: 6-2-4
Home Record: 5-1-0
Away Record: 1-1-4
Winning Percentage: 50%
Total Points: 20
Average Points Per Game: 1.66

And as for additional information:

He has been critisized badly not only because of bad performance, but also because of his contract. His contract details are hidden but it's pretty much known that it's a very big amount. Turkish NT was Semi Finalist in WC 2002, then missed Euro 2004, missed WC 2006, then Semi Finalist in Euro 2008 and then missed WC 2010. Everyone is sick of this no doubt, and we are looking for a "stable success", but after Germany and Azerbaijan defeats it became a little bit hard to join Euro 2012 as well, so his job is on the line.

On the other hand it's rumored that Chelsea is interested in him and looking for a possibility to sign. Even though Hiddink denied this rumors and said "i'm done with club jobs", Turkish Media thinks that he will leave.

And lastly; most of Turkish community doesn't trust him at all because of his utterly stupid squad selections. The gap between some players he never picks and some he always picks and mostly plays in first eleven is HUGE, and thus most of Turkish fans are not happy with the way he is handling things in Turkey, especially Besiktas fans, because last time i saw a Besiktas player playing in Turkish NT was almost 1 year ago. There are constantly 5-6 Galatasaray players in first eleven though. You know how Galatasaray's season was, and guess their footballers performance, fitness and morale which affected and keeps affecting bad Turkish NT.

*sigh* It was 6 am! I didn't really notice "league" word there, and after i clicked Hiddink, i saw "Current - Turkish NT" and it was blank below. Obviously i spent more than 30 minutes to "help", and i get a facepalm in return? :( I was expecting a "thanks for trying to help, but" sentence. :nono:

Anyway nice work as always Vito. (See? At least one of us is polite! :depress:)

In my opinion coaching in a league is the hardest for a manager, which is why I focus on that. He was successful coaching National Teams, but I think looking at his league records gives us a better idea of how he may do with Inter.

I was just joking haha. I considered doing all matches, but that would be tough and I think league matches are much more important in judging the ability of a manager. For example, Guardiola's record in La Liga is much more important that his record in the Copa del Rey. And although CL is a very tough tournament, I feel that it has a luck factor that a league record does not have, or at least has much less of...

that 6 games has lost 13 points.

1: Espanyol 2-1 Tenerife
2: Mallorca 2-0 Espanyol
3: Espanyol 1-1 Atlético Madrid
4: Deportivo La Coruna 1-0 Espanyol
5: Espanyol 1-1 Villarreal
6: Real Valladolid 2-1 Espanyol

Espanyol finished 7th that year, so they had a decent squad. Tenerife finished 19th, so it should have been a comfortable home win. Mallorca was really good this year, finishing 3rd, so that away loss is understandable. Should have been a win against Atletico Madrid at home who finished 13th that year. La Coruna was pretty solid finishing 6th, so the 1-0 away loss is not shocking. However Villarreal should have easily been beaten at home, as they ended up finishing 18th that year! Valladolid finished 12th, so the away loss to them in his final game is also a poor result.

Considering Espanyol finished 7th that year, all those matches should have been winnable, maybe with exception for the Mallorca match. Definitely should not have had 3 losses in those 6 matches, however...

Definitely should not have had 3 losses in those 6 matches, however...

just hope for the best is all I could do now. :palm:
