We will need at least 2 more forwards if we want to start 4-3-3 in every game. Until then, I would say its just a plan B to be used when really needed.

We no longer have to play in Europe so I think it's pretty doable, but I agree that we should get at least 1 striker in January.

Eriksen?? Created our best w chances of the whole game but sure he was trash after all his first FK was really bad....

Also lets not talk about our CBs wh0 fucked up big time on their goal and twice again later when cagliari should have scored.....

This team is mentally defective, we started off so well then we couldn't keep up the momentum and conceded a chicken shit goal, defenders seem to lack confidence in their keeper since he doesn't come out of the area and makes terrible decisions. Handanovic is slowly becoming a liability.

Up front we were dysmal, Lukaku notwithstanding the goal had a bad game, Eriksen probably created the two best chances of the game in the first half but meh, not a satisfying performance the team is mentally weak even when we were 2-1 up we almost managed to concede again I can't understand Skriniar's movement forward giving Lykoggianis space to get the cross in. At least we got 3 points and live to fight another day.

I know. I know also that Inter may sell him at the end of the season (or next one) but Barella remind me the most of Zanetti - humble, hard-working player, who give everything every game. His decisive goals are just nice bonus.
Neither Icardi nor Handanovic have that aura.

Cragno continues to impress me (although he is largely culpable for D'Ambrosio's goal).

Sottil is a player to watch. Every time I've seen him he's been very impressive, especially for his age.

I thought we mostly carried our form from Shakhtar into this match-- reasonably organized, but without much spark or intent. I'm glad we managed to do enough in the end, but the creativity and invention is sorely lacking.

A game with a mix of poor and good performances. Managing to overcome our 47th brain aneurysm so far, only to get a 48th when you see Lukaku trying to smash in that ball from 2m with absolutely unnecessary horsepower which completely scared you it might actually go over.

But we got a win, and if you look at the stats, it was solid. And probably deserved. Although throughout the game, we might not have always felt that way.

Happy to see Conte react early and to try a 4-4-2 narrow diamond?
