It's funny that no single other fans even rates Valero average, most rate him great. While people here consider Medel over him :yao:
Grass is always greener on the other side

Can someone please explain to me why Spalletti supposedly wants to build his team around a 32 year old Spanish footballer (Valero). Are the rumours bullshit or is there some truth to this? Seems a bit short sighted given Valero's age.

We want results this season, if Valero can bring the goods it's not a problem.
No one knows what Spalletti is thinking but apparently he tried to sign Valero last season as well.
Sometimes a safe pair of hands (or feet) in this case would go a long way in helping our jittery inexperienced midfield.
The rumours have been confirmed in most Italian outlets so yes, there is an interest however from what I've read I don't think Fiore and Inter have talked directly rather Valero just seems to have a agreed a deal with us.

Usually the people we're not hype about are the ones who play with a chip on their shoulder. I don't know anything about Valero, but if this is the game plan for Spalletti then let him rock it out. I just want the ball to get rolling. Because all this #InterIsComing just feels like #InterIsWaiting.

If I had to guess, it's "get rich quick scheme" kind of thing. He's here to help us qualify for Champions League next season, not a long term solution.

Next season Inter will be trying to get younger you just watch. Every summer Inter is working on something different, every summer they fail. I want them to prove me wrong.

D.Costa-Rube imminent 40mil deal
Karsdorp-Roma close to done
Borja V-Inter Agreement founs between Inter and the player, with Fiora close to one

However CdS is droping their credibility like GdS and Tuttoshit so...

Borja to play in a more deep position
In a double pivot most likely
Leaving J.Mario behind the strikers

Another shitty transfer in a long 7 years of shitty transfers...

There is s a real easy test here. Every transfer/signing, you ask yourself, does this transfer get us any closer to Juve? If the answer is yes, then it's a good transfer. If the answer is no, then, well...it's another waste [which is the only thing this club has done for 7 years].

God, you don't decide how good a transfer is in June.

If Borja Valero is too old, what is Miranda? And like the whole team he also had a bad season.

two things:

1) The goal of this summer is not to immediately assemble the 2020 Champions League winning squad
2) Not every player on a top 3 team needs to be a superstar

At the rumored price, Valero would be a good signing

We are a bit late, should've done it few years ago.

Anyway, for cheap IMO is good transfer, especially if Banega is going to be sold. Valero is arguably one of the best midfielders in Serie A in the past few years.

Well didn't expect him to be our first signing of this "super summer" but I think he could be extremely useful against the smaller teams who park the bus on us especially since we've had a hard time breaking some of them down the last few years

Selling Banega for twelve million and signing Valero for eight is the exact kind of buffoonery I would expect from this club.

So you guys agree with this transfer because it helps us get results quickly and therefore qualify for CL?!

Haven't you guys learned your lesson? We've been doing this shit for the past 7 years and it hasn't been working. We are not going to qualify for CL with such signings, we will be only left with their high wages and injuries.

We need to build a core, build a team around young players. These quick fixes only work for teams who already have their core.

Inter keep trying to jump from the first step to the fifth step and keep failing. Just please do things step by step like a normal club.

I think we have enough young players. What we lack is someone to take control on the pitch, a leader. Icardi does his best but he isn't the one.

I think Valero solves that. He can rejuvenate us the way Pirlo did at Juve.

Sorry but i dont remember we got someone like Borja Valero in this 7 years. Hes not Iniesta but he is also not Hernanes or Mudingayi. Inter never made "the jump from the first step to the fifth step and keep failing". The truth is that we already have a lot of young players but the mix is just wrong. Experienced players are good but not when theyre name is Candreva or Nagatomo. And Borja tbh. is the right player for our midfield, specialy if Banega will leave.

Selling Banega for twelve million and signing Valero for eight is the exact kind of buffoonery I would expect from this club.

Except Inter need to raise €30m by June 30 for FFP. Banega (out) would count towards that number but Valero (in) would not.

Many expected Perisic to be sold to comply with FFP, which may be why United won't offer more than €30m.

Point is, Inter need to at least explore other options for raising those funds, otherwise ManU has their nuts in the proverbial vice grip.

And it really could be as simple as swapping Valero for Banega means we keep Perisic. I'll take that any day.
