I dont care if you fucks calling me Conte fanboys. But the way guy was trying to dictate the game from the side of the pitch screaming each players name what to do at certain circumstances was essential to winning this game and it just shows how passionate and masterclass he is.

Passionate? Agree.
Masterclass? Not so much.

Brozo with a real shit stain of a performance. Fuck me when he decides to put in a shocker, he really puts 100% into it. That dreadful fucking FK at the end of the game that led to his and Bastoni’s yellows should be punishable by a €2000 fine. Unacceptable.

I’ll take the somewhat trolling 3 points but it’d be nice if we could win convincingly at times.

As far as I can remember, this is the Italian winning formula in the last decade or so i.e. the winning team would go on a winning streak between December and March to build up a nice point cushion, then they would grind out the last 10-15 games and leave the beautiful football to other challengers.

Juve did this every year, we also kinda did this in 2010 when our 2nd half of that season when we let Roma overtake us at times. Even Rainieri's Leicester and Conte's Chelsea did this when they grinded (ground?) out a lot of 1-0 towards the end of their winning season. Many of them were thanks to individual brilliance too.

And honestly, I agree with the approach, we have a good point advantage, and no time for experiments or mixing things up. So just go out and let Lukaku, Lautaro, Barella, Hakimi and co. work out some moment of magic as they're capable of. Sometimes, we will win convincingly, some other times, it won't be pretty, but the title is all that matters now.

The results are in! Let's look back at our narrow victory over Bologna.

Yet another defensive game, but another important 3 punti!

As I figured this would make more sense, I'll post a comparison between last game's consistency graph and this game's consistency graph either at the top or bottom from now on!

So, I'm a bit late coming to this match thread. Admittedly, I was not very impressed with our performance against Bologna but I am willing to give the team the benefit of the doubt given the international break and the outbreak of covid in our camp. Having said that, I am happy that we managed to grind out a win and three points.

However, there is one thing that is really bothering me at the moment and that is some of the post match comments from members of the Italian media. If I am wrong about this then I am happy to be corrected but there are some commentators, similar to some members on this Forum, who are already pissing on, discarding or playing down what we stand to achieve this season. It bothers me because I see a double standard. For example, Juventus win the Scudetto for 9 consecutive seasons and the Italian media are congratulatory.

Inter could possibly win it this season (it has not been won yet) and a whole host of comments have been made about how Inter have no one but Juventus to thank if we win the Championship because of the Old Lady's failings this season. Over the last decade, it has been widely acknowledged that not having a competitive Inter and Milan in Serie A has undermined the league and contributed to Juventus' domination. I am not sure if I simply missed all of the accompanying commentary because I did not follow Juventus' championship wins but I can not remember a time when Juventus were close to winning a championship and commentators coming out and automatically attempting to devalue their achievement.

The double standard angers me. So too does the lack of recognition and the fact that we are close to winning the Championship for the first time in a decade and they already want to tear us down. The decisions of Juventus' management have nothing to do with Inter nor does the fact that Serie A is not the league it once was in the 1990s or even the 2000s. Like the rest of the teams in the top flight, Inter are applying themselves every week and doing their best. But for some, that is clearly not enough when it comes to the team leading Serie A and potential new champions.

Lastly, I really hope that we will not let up and will do everything to crush our opponents from now until the end of the season. And more than anything, I hope that when we again cross paths with Juventus, regardless of whether the Championship has been wrapped up, we will do our upmost to convincingly win and put them in their place. Knowing Antonio Conte, I do not expect otherwise.

Love you guys!
Forza Inter!

Whether it's a big accomplishment or not (which it is), this remains a season with an asterisk. As was half of last season.

If Milan were to win, we'd be alluding that to the Covid factor and the penalties they were awarded.

We actually are one of the few teams that benefitted from this as it allowed us 5 subs (most teams stopped finding decent players after 2 or 3 subs), a rule that actually was redundant for this season, we did not lose players from covid for more than 2-3 games and we were lucky enough to face teams that had important absences. Obviously the same applies to others as well to a variant degree.

But no matter what, this cannot feel very.... real. The no fans situation just makes the whole thing look like a skirmish rather than a well earned Scudetto challenge, even if for the players that remains the case. There are many reasons to consider this season an outlier but if it finally dethrones Juventus and on top of that gives us the Scudetto, I'll fucking take it. But don't pretend as if all things are running smooth here. There is a legitimate reason to have a cloud over anything that's happening this season.

I agree with this, but it doesn't take still anything away from the accomplishment. It's just different and we are (most probably) the best out of the bunch. We've been lucky with COVID and with injuries (though lack of injuries can be attributed to our medical staff also it's not just "luck" etc).

We just need to build on this and ride the confidence boost wave. A LOT depends on the ownership situation and how they can manage the financial difficulties. If we can retain this team, I feel we are quite strong next season too.

Yeah, exactly. We're all playing under the same circumstances, but the changed environment has seen us not lose as much as others have. And we handled it well, so earning credit for that (enter Scudetto) is no small prize. Nor unwarranted.

But it still needs to be put under scrutiny. This isn't 2005-06, or even 2006-07 with "reduced competition" and penalizations, but it sure isn't like 2007-08 or 2017-18.

I am mostly surprised by the fact that referees aren't coming to get us. Probably Agnelli waved the white flag this season. Though this was similar to last season really, so either Marotta has good connections in FIGC and protects Inter from crap refereeing or Juventus isn't interested or powerful enough anymore to pull this off to the full extent.

Hey guys! I got the suggestion to change the meaning of the coloured dots.

Currently they are red, orange or green depending on how far they are from 6.00.

The person in question suggests I use the colours red, orange and green to show the outcome of the game (lose, draw or win) instead.

What do you think?

For me it doesn't matter as I've never watched that particular statistic, but if you like to do it, do it.

I think your system works great as it is. The one thing I wonder is, are you gonna only change the color of dots or also the numbers? If you gonna change the dots to green red or orange depending on win/lose/draw but keep the color as usual on the numbers then it would work even better. This way you could display two factors instead of one but it would maybe look weird?

If it is deemed unnecessary by most, I like won't change it! But yeah, I will see if I can find a way to implement both - to the limits of excel graphs :D.

Thanks for your reply.
