6- ADRIANO...I wont get carried away but he looked much better on the ball.Very comfortable, nice passes, good help to his younger players and great shot...If he continues like this he might be on the road to recovery.Take into consideration that he is playing with a less experienced midfield and Cruz as a partner (whom i think is a bad partner to help his game).

agree with this...

i feel sorry for adri as some of the fans here (and i hope this is only on forums) are just crazy
mancini has him playing with 17 year old primavera's and cruz, yet people want him to drop back to play holding striker, distribute the ball, score goals and dribble past players...i'm sorry, but that is impossible..

also, football is such a strange game.....today, adri totally embarrassed cristiano zanetti with a disgusting nutmeg....he also did a marvelous swivel turn before unleashing a rocket from about 30 yards that the keeper could only parry....in addition, he gave solari, cesar, cruz and jimenez some beautiful through balls as well as good combination plays..
people still say he played shite, yet i can bet you if ibra only did one of those things and nothing else for the entire game, he will still be applauded....

example, ibra played shit today....gave away the ball too many times, missed 3 chances (especially the nice through pass from suazo....shot with his left foot..straight at the goalkeeper) and his movement and passes were poor and not connecting with the other players...he probably made 1 or 2 decent combinations in the first game and yet nobody is here saying that he played shit (except me)

Nope, I don't think there's any expectations from fans at all, all gone.

Dude, Ibra was 10000 times better than Adri last 2 seasons. Last 2 seasons you can't even compare this 2 players. When Adriano first came to Inter, thats another story, than he was The Emperor. It looks like he's coming back, let's hope we get The Emperor back!:)

Good on the boys for bouncing back from the Villa loss. These games mean nothing, except for fitness obviously, but it's always good for morale after a defeat. Beating the Old Slut is always fun too. In fact, I'm looking forward to seeing Inter crush them a few more times this upcoming season.

My thoughts on this trophy:

1- The decision to play Chivu in middle or LB should have been answered yesterday against a semi good Napoli side. Chivu played at center and was aweful. Missed lots of headers to the attackers behind him.Poisitioning wasnt great either...He is much better @ LB and Samuel is much better than him. This should be a slam dunk decision if the forms continue like this..

2- Suazo-Ibra is fantastic Mancio will really have a hard time deciding between Suazo and Crespo but thats a good dillemma...

3- Solari again impressed me in the preseason. He is the consistent good player over these games.Might not mean much later on but its a good sign.

5-Jimenez looking better...I know some think of him Mariano but i actually think he will be a nice suprise and exceed the low expectations eventually.

7- Luck to have both JC and Toldo. Two games of no significance in this tournament but they looked sharp.Good reflexes on both.

Well, Guys We are formidable and i believe that Mancio has chosen the first line-up except for a few spots !!

back to the post !!

1- Yeah Chivu was bad at marking especially aerial challenges ..Samuel is way better but still he knows how to start play from behind ..he passed alot to maxwell who played such a game also and even those cross-millmetric long balls ...he really reminds me of Miha as Mancio's said before the q now is how to play max with chivu and have good defense cz maxwell gives you alot of options at the left which is tbh of quality better than Chivu's especially the crosses !!

2 Suazo-Ibra and under them Figo will be our first 3...it's pretty obvious and they do complete each other and the three of them are creative at the same time !! But heck Deki plays fantastic if at the center of midfield also cz he shoots quite well...so who to play beside Viera and Cambiasso is it gonna be Deki / capitano or Dacourt ( don't think so) cz figo gives alot of creativity when behind strikers better than Deki even !!

Last , Solari proved that he got quality and he's becoming our 2nd Cruz..since he plays well and doesn't complain !! JC is Marvellous and i do believe he's going to be great in the future after such reflexes Jimemez also will be such back-up when figo gets tired.. !!

It's because Ibra had a better match then Adri yesterday and most people see it. While Adri had one of the better matches in a long time for his standards Ibra had an avarage match for his, but still he managed much more then Adri. You're just beeing biased.

Look at it obejctively.

Ibra had a lob attempt in the crossbar from an impossible angle. How you can count that as a "missed chance" is beyond me. More like he created a chance from nothing. He set up Stankovic with a great through ball which Stankovic passed to Suazo who wasted it. He set Vieira up perfectly with a headed pass which Vieira somehow managed to miss. He had a shot on goal from far out which the keeper couldn't hold and had to punch it out. And then ran intelligently so Suazo could set him up which Ibra then wasted. So that's one wasted chance. Not to mention he won more or less every airduel he was involved in and fought really hard.

Now if you take a look at Adri.

He had good passes to team mates but none of them resulted in a scoring opportunity. Some were too hard, other was offside, and others were very good but nothing came out of them.

He had a shot far out after rouletting a player which the keeper couldn't hold. And one shot after easily dribbling Boumsong in the right side of the box which he failed to get on target. He fought hard and had a good touch on the ball.

So how do you figure Ibra was shit and Adri was damn good? And believe me this forum is far from being "crazy" against Adriano. People here love him, you should check out the Italian forum if you want crazy.

P.s I agree with pretty much everything in Ziyads post.
