Koller doesn't even have to jump, I'm talking about the type of marksman that would sacrifice his body to leap in the air and get that f-cking ball.

Vintage Ruud, Morientes.

Adriano owned Bobo, so he must be one of them. He surely is one of the best headers scorer in the world at the moment. There are only 2-3 defenders who may out-jump him on those situations. (Jaap Stam) He wins a lot of balls with his head. :)

How did I dare and forget one of the best ever? Crespo!

Van Hooijdonk is also good, and I don't think John Carew is a good header, but he is quick and skilled for a big guy.

Hmm, Adriano is decent in the air, alot of people deny it but he is. When he's on form he'll out jump anyone in the air. Unfortunetaly, IMO Bobo was a better marksman than him :depress: *sigh*

Batistuta....a marksmen? eh....yeah okay "mike" LOL!

Best marksmen in the 90's was easily Bierhoff. At Udinese and Milan he was a beast in the air.
No one came close.

Well Batistuta was no support striker, considering he still holds the record of most goals for his NT.

What about hmm..Henrik Larsson. Insane in the air!

Past, Oliver Bierhoff. He was the capocannonieri in 97/98 for Udinese with 27-28 goals and I think 75-80% of those goals came from the head. Best header, by quite some light years, that I have ever seen.

Current, Hernan Crespo and probably, David Trezeguet. Crespo is just the best finisher off a cross (Be it with his head or foot) I have ever seen. :star:

Mike, if your category of "Marksman" is a player who scors the most goals with his head, then, perhaps. But if your category of "Marksman" is the player who is the best header of the ball, then it's a totally different story.

Well a good marksman is a player that needs few touches of the ball to get it in the back of the net. Most marksmen have a strong aerial game as well which is why the topic is called "Best Aerial Marksman".

Definately Bierhoff...His headers were stronger and more accurate than some shots..

Crespo is a great finisher with head too..I am sure their are others but no one other than Bierhoff takes that honor IMHO

Yes, Oliver Bierhoff could have lobbed a keeper from the centre of the pitch with a header :D :D :D too bad he went to BBilan

But they destroyed him! Too bad he wasted his life there, and never fully recovered.

Forgot about ZamoRambo... All of his headers were incredible, specially the one in the derby(when they threw the flares)
