Anti-Barca
What softens the frustration a little bit is indulging thyself in the jealousy, delusion and denial that's spouted over this game at our degenerate cousins' forums. :lick: :horny:

Goodfella said:
This reminded of our 2-2 Barca game in 2011.

Random early goal -> park the bus -> fail to exploit the numerous counter opportunities Barca give away -> Barca turns it around eventually.

There are 3 big differences though:

1. We equalized at the end.
2. The 2011 Barca were a lot better than the current one with an unfit Messi, Suarez in twilight years, an out of place Griezzmann & underwhelming midfield and defense.
3. That Milan side were treated like an ultra defensive provincial team that got lucky, whereas this Inter is praised as if they went toe to toe with Barca tonight.

They are still far away from being a great team.
They have very good individuals though. Especially defensively.

Good game, disapointing result.
The team can improve in fitness and tactics..

The team is new and considerably young, but they play with confidence..
I have never seen something like this at inter..

Sensi 24, Barella 20, Lautaro 22.. Wow..

No time for mourning, bring juventus now

Sensi Rules!!!!

barella is 22 though. Will be 23 in Feb,

It's actually pathetic that people are taking joy in a loss and taking 1 points from 2 games. Roma knocked them the fuck out of CL, and they're shittier than us. We only lost 2-1 in a group game though.

What a disappointing result following that first half. Should have been up by at least 2 goals heading in to halftime. If we had a player at the level of Messi or Suarez up front the game would've been over by then.

Really impressed with how the team played out from the back and broke Barca's high press in that first half. When the press was broken, it lead to chances quite quickly.

Conte didn't adjust well to the Vidal change. Should've brought in Politano for Sanchez, instead of Gagliardini. Barella was a monster.

Bitterly disappointed that the team didn't hang on for a draw. It would've got this CL campaign right back on track.

Their goals came purely from individual brilliance. Suarez with one of his trademark volleys for the first goal. The second goal is all about Messi suddenly deciding "Hmm, okay I'm just gonna fuck their defense up because I feel like doing it". Nothing we could do when they had such 'cheat' characters in the game.

They never even showed the replay on English broadcasts, at least not on the one I was watching. Did look like a clear penalty when it happened in the first place though. At least fucking consult VAR in a major situation like that.

Honestly, I was convinced from the one angle I saw of it that Sensi had flopped. The angle in that picture is the reverse angle of the broadcast I saw, so I figured he had incurred some contact and tried to sell it. Honestly, they say ignorance is bliss and I now kinda wish I didn't see that picture to realize there was a legit penalty shout there.

(To be totally fair, Barcelona had their own penalty shout that didn't go to VAR that, well, it wasn't an outrageous ask if not a penalty.)

It's actually pathetic that people are taking joy in a loss and taking 1 points from 2 games. Roma knocked them the fuck out of CL, and they're shittier than us. We only lost 2-1 in a group game though.

Yeah, after losing the first leg 4-1 away. A 2-1 result going home for the second leg wouldn't be all that bad but, you know, we're not playing a two-legged knockout tie.

I take a little solace in the fact those guys will be retiring soon, hopefully just as our guys are coming into their prime.

With their luck Ansu Fati will turn into the next world beater.

“Bloody hell, a great team.” - What Valverde thought of Inter tonight.

Barca had to play at their best to just about beat us at their home, where they haven't lost for 6 years in the CL. It took two great goals to beat us. I think we can be proud of what Inter are building.

This one hurts. It was there for the taking, but we're a much improved side compared to last year and the boys deserve the applause anyway today.

Sometimes the result doesn't accurately reflect gameplay. So the question to ask is, if we replayed this game again, is anyone confident we'd come away with a result?

If not, then even the goal itself is a fluke and we should have made the best of it while we could.

I don't know what you're going on about. We're a pot three team who just lost to one of the five best clubs in the world, on an away fixture.

I'm not going to celebrate the performance like some people, but I really don't care about this loss. This was the one fixture in the group stage that everyone knew we wouldn't take any points from.

We're not winning the UCL anytime soon. We're not even close to being on the level of Barca. That's okay though; let's go make a serious run at winning the league and get this project off the ground.

Devastating loss. So disappointed after that 1st half we had. We needed more than the 1 goal. We all knew it. Sigh. Anything less than 3 points against Dortmund next round will probably spell the end of our CL campaign. Which honestly isnt the worse thing in the world if we really wanna challenge Juve for the Scudetto.

Anyway fuck Barca. I hate that club. Kudos to our guys for playing their hearts out. A performance you can look back on and applaud even if we didn't get any points.

Nah. Everyone gets lucky breaks in sports. When your turn comes you better take your chance.

Sure I don't expect to beat Barca away before the match. But when given a lucky break, and a chance to win, you better capitalize on it. Roma and Liverpool did and they're not on Barca's level. Ajax did with Real and Juventus. You can't exclude us from that. The match was ours for the taking and we fucked it up.

Bitter defeat. Lautaro proved all of the haters wrong. He is more durable, stronger and faster than Alexis, Lautaro should always play infront of him when ready.

Proud of the team. A tale of two halves and we will grow from this. Unfortunately results like this bring out the spastics in your own fanbase. People expecting us to run over Barca at the nu camp for 94 mins when last season we lost to teams like Parma, Torino, Cagliari, Sassuolo, Frankfurt.

Onto Sunday and if we play like that I am confident. Forza Inter sempre.

Jesus, I still feel angry. We missed too many chances in the first half and we paid the price in the end. And now we have just 1 point so the chances for going through are very slim.

Well played, what I really hate is that there's no VAR in the CL.
Referee was shit.

Proud of the boys. One of best performances I've seen from any footballing side at the Nou Camp. A tough one to take this.
