It was actually me who pointed it out to other mods and then we decided to remove it. And just to end any implication that mods punish content they don't agree with as it has already been mentioned few times on this thread. Personally i politically identify myself at centre-left and i definitely want democrats to win. Not that it really interests anyone. But this isn't the place to show our political support. No politics allowed means no politics. Without asterisks or exceptions. I understand if you don't agree with it and you feel you have been silenced but these are forum rules and you need to respect them, like the rest of us.
Mods simply act based on forum rules and guidelines. Nothing more, nothing less. We may make mistakes (i made a big one recently myself) but i can assure you there's no bias in our actions.
Getting silenced at a football forum because of your political posts seems about right. I get it's a thin line you guys walking on.
Because most of us have been wandering around here for years, we know each other ''well'' on the forum. Then you get people not only talking about football but also about nonsense (football related) or daily news matters. On the one hand, that is a good sign because people feel confident to express this. On the other hand, it causes problems for you because how far can people go under the guise of freedom of speech?
Just like with the Inter players, I don't care what political preferences people have, that is not why I am on this forum. If I want to insult people for that reason, I'll go to Facebook or Reddit. Sometimes the bomb has to burst to make it clear to everyone what the manners and rules are again and that's fine. You guys are doing a great job in moderating and are part of why it is a nice place here.
Do I always agree with what the mods do? No. But fortunately, as in real life, not everyone has the same thoughts.
It would be fucking boring if we were all the same.
