Just got back from the stadium, and things are looking good. Most of the players are here, and the rest are expected to arrive tomorrow.
Of course the players seemed tired, coming back from the holidays and jumping from the plane to the pitch. They also seemed to be cold, as nobody expected this kind of weather over here.
The training consisted of jogging, just to shake off the laziness I guess. And the players got a ball afterwards and split into two teams to provide some entertainment to the fans.
There was a press conference afterwards, but nothing really important came up. It's worth noting that Mancini confirmed twice that Figo is "staying" as he put it, and of course Figo was there training with the rest of the players. He also mentioned that it's too early to speculate about any transfers, when asked about whether Beckham was joining Inter.
The match is going ahead as scheduled on the 6th. Bahrain will play a selection of 11 players, and might have some guest players form other national teams since this is a celebratory game. Inter will probably play two different sets of players each half, as Mancini said he wants to give a chance for everyone to play, since this is a training game for Inter.
I'll start posting shots of the players in training tomorrow, exclusively for this forum. For now, here are a couple of shots from the press conference. That's nerazzurri813 in the first pic, who was lucky enough to get a shot with Mancio before the organizers pulled him away . I just got in with Scrapini who was much less guarded (and surprised that someone recognized him).
