Why?

/ IMO Futurama has more characters that are funnier, the only ones in Simpsons who make me laugh are Willie, Ralph, Hans Moleman, Lionel Hutz, Bart and Homer. I have watched every sing Futurama episode at least twice, and like 80% of Simpsons episodes and Futurama still makes me laugh even if i have seen the episode, not so much with Simpsons. But that's just me...

I like Simpsons, but they are overdue, the show is nothing like it was from the beginning to around ~ 9 season...

Agree, 1-8 are definitely best animated TV Series in TV history. Overall i'd say only The Wire and Seinfeld are better then The Simpsons first 1-8 seasons.

No fucking doubt about it. Watching season 3 on DVD right now and almost every line is memorable. Those early seasons still blow my mind, even 20+ years after they originally aired.

As for Futurama - good show, loved the early seasons of it as well. Also blessed with great writing and memorable episodes and an added-in sci-fi factor which I loved growing up. Still it just doesn't compare the early Simpsons. But nothing really does except the best years of Seinfeld tbh. And even then, I find it very hard to put Seinfeld ahead of it
