i don't blame the parents that do that, as long as it is ONLY for the benefit of the child. in this case, it was apparently the agent himself, or at least he played a part in it.
he didn't falsify the age of birth, he used someone else's documents, according to what's emerging from the trial.
i repeat: according to what La Stampa leaked, he is NOT Assane Demoya Gnoukouri born in 1996, but his real name is Alassane Traoré and he was born in 1994.
of course, as of today and for what it is worth, we cannot draw definitive answers and we will have to wait till the trial is concluded.
this story won't be written in books, so to speak, because: 1. there have already been stories like this (see Eriberto/Luciano); 2. he's merely a guy on an average level, who even after gaining a few years of experience could play for fiorentina, at best; 3. he has cardiac issues, so his carrier is probably over anyway.
it's funny though when it's not about a couple of years like in this case, but when they try to pass as a teenager a guy like Minala who may even have teenage children somewhere in africa.
