He is playing better than the beginning, that's true. But it's till not enough, and Banega is MILES ahead. In pretty much every aspect of the game. Banega might not be in top form for Valencia this season, but he still has more QUALITY they Biglia. Way more.

I agree about the rest in the midfield and attack. Even tho Kun is wasted there a bit.

Can't really comment about the defense as i haven't really paid attention to them... But i was reading that the argentineans don't like Garay anywhere near the NT? How come you claim he is good enough to be a starter (not bashing, just asking, since i really havent paid attention to him).

I think that Messi has developed a lot since 2010 though. He's naturally an AM, and such a position would enable him to be the focal point in Argentina's attack (and facilitate the inclusion of Higuain, Aguero and Di Maria into the starting XI).

However, I don't think Palacio should be starting tbh. He should be on the bench (as an impact sub or a defensive winger ala Pandev) alongside Tevez (who can offer depth to the CF position).

Lmao Messi is an AM, Kova's an AM. Everyone's an AM to you.

Fact of the matter is, Messi is wasted behind the striker, and Aguero is wasted on the wing. Aguero plays behind the main striker at his club, and Messi plays upfront, let them play that too.

Again, Messi-Higuain failed last time. There has to be a change.

I agree with you on Tevez, but he's not called up. Palacio is better than Lavezzi imo, who just relies on strength. Palacio is more slick.

Banega is extremely talented, but FUCKING inconsistent. Hence why Valencia were doing everything they could to release him this January. Biglia on the other hand is less talented, but quite consistent. And his technique is not bad at all.

It's à la and not ala, unless you mean winger, which wouldn't be logical in the situations you use the word. :)

I would play Higuain, Aguero, and Messi as the attacking trio in some format. Probably Higuain up top with Aguero behind and Messi as the AM. Playing Messi as lone striker doesn't make as much sense when Argentina don't have the class midfielders and wide forwards to make it work. It's not as reliable as the Higuain-Aguero-Messi trio which has worked well for Sabella.

Put Di Maria in at CM – he's done well there for both Real and Argentina. He works hard, he's technically sound, and he can drift wide when width is needed. And it's not like Argentina have a surplus of excellent midfielders.

I don't know... personally, I don't like formations with 3 or 5 defenders, but I'm certain that in case one of the "fantastic four" (Di Maria, Aguero, Messi, Higuain) can't play, Sabella will surely change the formation to a 5-3-2... or a 4-4-2...

IMO, Argentina's defenders should be Mascherano and Coloccini. I don't know why Sabella keeps putting him in the midfield while he always plays as a CB for Barça... Then, as a RB, I would like JZ, but I don't know why he doesn't even play for Inter. Campagnaro could play as a RB too, or a LB, a position where there aren't any good argentinians, so Zabaleta could play there.

P.S: In this past years, I have never heard anything about Speroni, who is he? Does he deserve a place in NT more than lots of goalkeepers here? (I mean, there are a bunch of keepers here at argentinian league that could be at NT and are better than Romero and Andújar, like Saja, Barovero, Marchesín, Torrico... even Guzmán, Newell's keeper. You can tell whatever you like about Argentinian's league poor quality, but a shot in the high corner saved from Ibrahimovic, or from the forward from Olimpo, it's still a shot in the high corner saved)

Gago has been injured, will lose the rest of the league, and casts doubts over his presence in the WC... Cambiasso is the strongest name to replace him, in case he doesn't make it...

Are you guys going to try to get Bielsa or Pekerman after the WC? Or Siemone? You really need to have a coach that understands what defending means. WC isn't like SA qualifiers were everyone but Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil are scared shitless to attack you.

I think he's 39 xD but it would be fucking illogical to bring him to the WC... I heard that the two main candidates to replace Sabella after WC are Simeone and Martino... I just hope el Cholo can make it to the NT, that way he would have some real chances...

A journalist asked Sabella whether he would speak with any Inter's players that had not previously called (referring to Cambiasso)
He just told him that he would only talk to Rodrigo, Hugo and Ricky.
So we can discard a call for Cambiasso

Ricky must be in danger no? I think Hugo will be fine as Argentina's not that stacked at defense. Luckily for Ricky, Lamela has gotten just about 0 minutes.

BTW, those keepers... :palm:

Sergio Romero: He didn't even sat on the bench at Mónaco.

Mariano Andújar: He didn't even sat on the bench at Catania.

Agustín Orion: Played the 90 minutes against Lanús. He saw the yellow card on purpose and had not much work, but in Lanús' goal he could have cut that long pass.

haha its like what I feel about CBs for Colombia..... Perea is 35 and Yepes is 38 not in the best form with younger better guys that don't get chances because our coach is like Those 2 fought real hard for 16 years to get us to the WC. So annoying knowing you have better players and they don't get called.

Sabella finally gave the 30-men-list, on June 2nd he will have to give the final 23-men-list, where there could be a player that is not in this list, in case someone get injured...
