The proble is that at least here in Egypt, Zamalek are rebuilding themselves after a 4 year tophyless streak with only 1 Egyptian Cup victory in 2007. They are building a new squad with fresh talents and want to regain domestic titles and African Championships. That's why Shika is being held on to dearly, Amr Zaki and now the return of Mido only reaffirmes their ambitions, add to that Hazem Emam Jr., Ahmed El Meghany and such and Zamalek loom like they want to regain power.
Al Ahly are constantly in the African and European scene and are also rebuilding their squad under a new coach, an Egyptian one for the first time in 19 years, so that's why these teams don't want to lose their players.
