Neschio the youtuber put it beautifully the other day and I agree with his sentiments. He has to win the league and then fuck off. I do not want to be represented by a person like this. That interview he gave the other day, hilarious as it was, is a stain on the club.
i agree with the "win the league then fuck off" concept, i disagree that his interview is a stain on the club. it's a stain on him.
he dodged the questions, he acted like a fool. it made him look bad as a person, because he avoided to acknowledge his responsibilities.
as bad as it was, it was just childish and petulant after all, so it's not something that immediately puts a stain on whoever is associated with him (like, for instance, closing a ref into a room à la moggi).
it looks bad for the club, too, but personally i would use the word "stain" if we accepted this sort of behaviour for longer than strictly necessary, because it would mean to implicitly approve it, or at least implicitly say that we are ok with it.
for the time being, we have to endure it, unless it progresses to the point where we have no choice but to immediately cut ties with him.
we have to use conte to win the league, which is his forte.
and then immediately sack him, because he's just unbearable and because winning Serie A would be his ceiling anyway, so we would need to change anyway to get to the next level (round of 16 of champions league, at least).
conte has to lose in this, too, because if he fails, in the future any club would think thrice before even considering hiring a coach with such a heavy baggage.
i also feel that marotta should make NOW the moves for the future. whoever he thinks is the best coach for 2021/2022's Inter, he should choose him now, and in january's transfer session he should keep a balance between the requests of the current coach and those of next season's coach.
if, let's say, our future coach puts eriksen at the center of his project, we shouldn't sell him.
