So,no chance for Eriksen again....

"Inter coach Antonio Conte is planning to start both Nicolo Barella and Alexis Sanchez against Cagliari tomorrow afternoon, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 23-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has recovered from a slight ankle injury, which put him in doubt for the clash against Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this week.

Barella is an incredibly core part of Conte’s tactical system and he has appeared in every game so far this season, starting in 13 of the 16.

His importance has limited the time available to Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, who is hoping to impress in the run-up to Christmas.

Alexis Sanchez is also set to start up front alongside Romelu Lukaku, the report continues.

The decision is likely to affect 23-year-old Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez, who disappointed against Shakhtar earlier this week and looked incredibly frustrated when being substituted off.

Lautaro is convinced that he did everything he could against the Ukrainians and believes that he will be successful against the Rossoblu tomorrow, and so may be upset with Conte’s decision."

Didn't know we have another inter forum, is this forum related to interfans.org ?

there's two main Inter forums in italian. i don't think they are related to forzainterforums, but you should ask handoyo to be sure about that.

Come on Don Antionio finish off what you came here to do and that’s end those cunts dominance. Bring us the coveted title, if Zhang wants success in Europe than make him actually spend some money. The plastics who started supporting Inter cos of Ronaldo or when we started winning or after the treble they will cry and whine all day and night but the real ones stand with you.

you can't blame the fans and implicitly call them plastic fans after failing to beat shakhtar. we have a better team than them and than borussia m., yet we finished fourth in the group. besides, this is conte's second season at the helm of our team and in champions league we regressed despite having an easier group than last season.

the other 3 teams, including the 2 who spend far less than us on the transfer sessions and have a much more manageable wage structure, managed to qualify for the next stage.

IF we win Serie A, then i'll thank conte for it. but now he MUST win it, anything else is a total failure.

and even if we do win Serie A, personally i would fire him anyway, for the reasons i explained in an earlier post.

Also he is right. We are more often than not very childish fan base. Starting from the imbeciles in the Curva who boo our players, to us here.

We need to support the team and the players much more. Shit happens. And we still are one of the favs for the title. I know it's bad, but it's not that bad.

Financially it is bad, but I don't give a fuck about that. Zhang can lose sleep for that. We were never gonna win ChL this season, nor the next, nor anytime soon... Serie A is what matters.

It's gonna be tough for the players and everyone to stay together and don't start to put blame on each other...

Idk, I wish there was something we could do, like a petition or smth, to let them now that it's not cool to be last in ChL group, but pull your shit together and let's do this, rather than all this nonsensical hate.

It is NOT okay to be last in the Champions League group.

Lol, our team reputation took one of the biggest hit in Europe and people are saying its not that bad, maybe that's what Conte thinks before making any change in the games...

I largely blame Conte and his one dimensional football for our failure against Shakhtar (and for going out of CL at a similar stage in similar fashion last year). It is very frustrating to see him doing the same thing in Europe and fail the same way without learning anything. However this limitation of Conte was well known when we hired him (one of the many reasons I was against hiring Conte), so what is happening now is not really coming as a big surprise.

I don't agree with some of the stuff being said here, some people are way too biased. Let me address a few of these points:

1. Sack the coach: Calls for sacking the coach now are immature. Despite the CL failures, Conte still overachieved with Inter last season and is performing at par in Serie A this season so far. Taking this call before the end of the season will be really moronic for Inter. For some people, "sack the coach" seems to be the instant solution for every problem, its really not.

2. Great Squad: Inter do not have the best squad in Italy. We had an average squad last season with at least 4 major gaps (LWB, RWB, DM and poor bench strength). This summer we have addressed only 2 of those - Hakimi for RWB and partially improved our bench strength due to cheap buys (Kolarov, Vidal, Darmian) and some players we could not sell (Perisic, Nainggolan). Juve had a much better squad than us last season, and they committed serious amount of money this season (almost 250m!) to improve it (Kulusevski, Morata, Arthur, Chiesa, etc). The gap has only increased this summer. Just consider the crucial CL game - our best players on the bench were Sanchez, Perisic, Eriksen, Dumbo, Sensi, Darmian. Juve against Barca had a bench including Bentancur, Kulusevski, Dybala, Bernerdeschi, Chiesa, Rabbiot. The only reason we are ahead of Juve in Serie A is the difference in experience of our coach vs their new coach. If we sack the coach, we lose some of that advantage so this quality gap may start to show.

3. Conte fucked Eriksen: While I agree with the hypothesis that Eriksen was a Marotta hire and not what Conte wanted, I disagree that Conte did not try to integrate Eriksen or give him enough chances. Conte changed our formation post lockdown (from 3-5-2 to 3-4-1-2) to bring the best out of Eriksen. I don't blame Marotta either for this particular transfer failure - that opportunity was too good to miss. I can only blame Eriksen. I have seen this before - a great player comes to a club, his skill level is above anyone else (which it is) so assumes he just has to turn up to succeed. Eriksen just didn't try hard enough. At a top club (and we are the most prestigious club Eriksen has ever played in) you don't get unlimited chances. You have to prove you deserve to start, and Eriksen got enough chances to do that. He failed, IMO due to lack of effort. Maybe this shock therapy of Conte will fuel Eriksen's hunger to succeed at Inter, or maybe not. But ether way, the blame for his failure so far is largely on Eriksen himself.

Inter decided against spending money this summer, while other clubs like Juve, Napoli, Milan invested. For once I would like to see how Conte performs with Inter when we don't have huge gaps like playing Perisic at LWB or Gagliardini as DM. We still need at least a quality LWB, a top DM and a vice-Lukaku to be at a place with reasonable expectation of silverware. I can only hope that Inter give that to Conte soon so that we can really see how far Conte can actually take us in Serie A.

Cassano ftw [you can find that bit isolated here https://www.fcinter1908.it/video/video-inter-cassano-conte-massacrato-2/ ]

As per Cassano, Conte's handling:
1) Skriniar before Conte was the highest coveted defender in Europe. He is being massacred by Conte.
2) Godin was being misused.
3) Hakimi is a completely different player now and totally confused
4) Eriksen

P.S: 3 wins in 12 games in the Champions League.

Inter decided against spending money this summer, while other clubs like Juve, Napoli, Milan invested. We have too judge the teams and coaches performance at the end of the season taking that fact into consideration. Which is what the club seems to be doing so far.

1). Conte didn't overachieve last season. In the league, with Napoli underperforming so badly Inter were expected to finish second. Which team had a better squad than Inter? Atalanta, Lazio, Roma or Milan? As for Europe, after finishing 3rd in the group, Inter reached EL final by beating a Bulgarian team, Getafe, Leverkusen and Shakhtar. Inter had a better squad than all of them. There was no overachieving either.

2) I don't know where you're getting these figures about Juve. Last summer they got:

Arthur: Pjanic + 12m

Kulusevski: 45m

McKennie: 4.5m loan with option to buy for 18.5m

Morata: 10m loan with 10m option to extend the loan for one more season and option to buy for 40m

Chiesa: 10m two-year loan with obligation to buy for 40m

3) This has been discussed so many times on this forum but let's do it again. Conte decided to stick with 3-4-1-2 even after dropping Eriksen by playing Valero, Brozovic, Barella or Vidal in the AM role. It was something he wanted to try. He didn't only do it for Eriksen. As for the chances Eriksen got at Inter from Conte, he joined the team from another league in January and he ended up getting less playing time than Roberto Gagliardini. Conte had no probem dropping him as fast as possible.

1.We need to sack him now,we need manager who can turn this players and fit them in their best position, play best system that is suitable to best players we have. So,no fkn Gags,DAmbro and similiar shitters,we need Eriksen,Sanchez,Skriniar, even fkn Ninja to play. We need our best quality players to play, not to destroy them, only to play shitters like Gags or DAmbro who cant and will never improve. We will never beat Rube,Barca,Real with Gags,DAmbro playing in first 11. Cunte showed that he can't do that, and his results are shit this season so far, plus he is lunatic and his behaving is not worth of Inter, plus he is gobbo merda.

2.Rube has better squad yes,but thats why we need coach who can do things, who can beat opponent that has better roster. Cunte failed to deliver that and he wont deliver,he failed not only to beat any better squad than ours,he failed to beat Shaktar,Sevilla, BM,lost every big game..You are telling me that there is no coach that can do that? Simone Inzaghi beat twice Rube last year, beat us with inferior squad,Gasperini also did that, friggin Gatuzzo won the cup. So you are saying that we need to have roster like Rube, and than we will beat them and win scudetto?! LOL,bring than Cambiasso,he'll do that,no problemo.

3."At a top club (and we are the most prestigious club Eriksen has ever played in) you don't get unlimited chances. You have to prove you deserve to start, and Eriksen got enough chances to do that. LOL,what about fkn Gags? Can you explain me why is he playing every single game?He proved himself,is that the case here? That guy gets unlimited chances, still he is failing non stop, guy is definiton of failure, and he still plays every single week. Thats why we can't beat shit in CL,and we choke against any stronger team in CL and Seria A.
Cunte is overatted, overhyped, mediocre, one dimensional coach and he is the one who doesnt deserve another chance. Not Eriksen, not Sanchez, not Skriniar...Cunte needs to go,take his fucking money, and donkey Gagliardini with him..That is what Inter needs... We will never achieve anything with Cunte.Anything.

Indeed. And the 3412 has been trash every single time, regardless of whoever played the 1. At a stretch, Barella has been the best of the AM experiments, but that largely has to do with familiarity with teammates and his overall form.

Even Conte himself, being the ultra-stubborn prick he is, has clearly admitted defeat by dropping the 3412 and reverting to 352 flat with Brozovic as DM.

His self-awareness got elevated through the roof:
Please, let us not offer ourselves up to those who are enjoying Inter’s problems, to those who hate Inter and want its destruction.

Exactly. Get the fuck out :)

His Rube past should be more annoying to Rube fans. We are missing a golden opportunity here.

Anyway, the only thing I really mind is we play boring and he is failing with Eriksen and Skriniar (TBD). I would dump him for that alone. I can be patient with results.

1.Who says it is? But having the best paid coach in italy having 0 accountability seems wrong and no matter how you turn it his results are disappointing...
Also remember mancini i think you were on the same side back then.

2. LOL what a bunch of BS who ever said we have a perfect squad we have the best squad we ve had in like 8 years thats all we are saying and our squad is better than what we show on the pitch so whats your point? Or do you think we had the 4th strongest squad in our CL group?

3. Conte fucked over eriksen there is no if whens and butts when Valero a player with no future here played in games that were pretty meaningless to us ahead of eriksen.

Inter decided against investing but bought Hakimi and Vidal whom according to your beloved coach is one of the best Midfielders in Europe...
lazio spent 26.5 mio this summer and napoli basically spent all their money on a 21 year old sure that instantly made em better than us, BBilan spent what 20 mio this summer?
But sure we cannot keep up with these guys cause we decided against spending it s not one bit contes fault...

Interfans Twisting and turning to defend this fucken jubentino cunt i ll never understand.....
