Conte still has a chance to make this a good season. We can reach 80p and over. We can win EL (even getting to final would be considered plus in my books).

We just need to finish the season on a high note, that's all.

We cannot win Europa League, simple as that. We don't have squad depth first of all, then we have no consistency and so on. It's not like Europa League has no quality teams on it.

Personally I expected that our team would be able to win Coppa Italia at most, other than that I always thought that this team has no capacity to compete for higher trophies. Hopefully next season will be better in almost every aspect. I do believe that Conte can make a difference though.

Second and 6 points off juve in first and people talk as if we are in Milan position. Madness.

Could he do better? Yes, absolutely everyone can do better. Should there be any talk whatsoever about him getting sacked? No

also, despite the latest cluster fuck goals, we still have the best defense in Italy.

First time this season that I see a gameplan, in the first half of the season good results came invariably from individual talent namely Sensi, Lautaro, Handanovic, de Vrij, Barella and even Lukaku, toady specially in the second half I finally saw a team.

Only bad thing today was the subs as always, why not give more minutes to Esposito when the result is safe.

AND the second best attack in the league. But conte has failed massively. Should be sacked. Bring back spalletti

He has his faults but man, how can you imagine winning titles when you have Gagliardini, Ranocchia, Borja, Vecino, Biraghi in your team with two of them at least playing every game.

We're full of mediocre players, it's really something we need to fix. I don't want 15 world class players, but at least decent subs ...

Just a few thoughts. I kind of get the feeling that he has managed to stabailise the team's performances after recent matches where we dropped points. I think it is encouraging that in games where we have gone behind, we have managed to claw our way back into the game (thankfully that did not happen tonight). I also think compliments should be extended to acknowledge the fact that in the past, when the team's form dipped and we were on a downward trajectory, former coaches really struggled to intervene and arrest the decline whereas Conte appears to have managed and overcome it.

We need to win what, three games to win the Europa League? That's not exactly a competition that's going to require squad depth. Especially if we have a UCL spot clinched and the last couple Serie A games are meaningless.

The last few games of Serie A are not meaningless. Finishing 2nd is important. Even if you don't consider the morale and momentum aspect of it going into the next season, the money distribution difference between 2nd and 4th spot is about 10m.

Its going to be very hard to stay above Atalanta specially looking at the tough fixture list ahead, but we gotta give our very best.

I'm glad we dropped out of CL to focus on the scudetto.

Agree. This team's #1 problem is mentality. The closer we get to Rube this season in terms of points, the more self confidence we'll have for next season. If we lose by 2-3 points, it will set up the bar that much higher.

The more we lower the bar for these guys, the bigger limbo experts they'll become.

I am not sure if this is the case or not but doesn't where we finish also make a difference to the pot we will be drawn from in the Champions League? I thought your final finish on the table can determine the pot from which a team is drawn and the ultimate strength of their Champions League group.

No, I think the pots are decided based on UEFA coefficients. To get into higher pots, we will need to do well in Europe.

However like I said above, the morale boost of a 2nd place finish + 10m extra cash should be incentive enough for Inter to treat each game as a final. Every point matters, right till the end. That mentality needs to be in our DNA.

It's not like we're out of the Scudetto race yet, why you guys talking like the season is already over?

Because we need to win 5 matches vs the likes of roma/Napoli/lazio and atalanta while juve just needs to win 3 vs cagliari, udine and samp. Even if they don't Roma will give them a free win in the last match if needed

In all honesty, it was over when we lost to Juventus before lock down. Ever since then, we have just been playing catch up and playing for own pride.

Hypothetically, lets say atalanta catch up and neck to neck with jube til the last giornata,
Do you prefer we tank or still fight for the second place

I have to say that I never gave a thought to this. I just took it for granted that the Hunchbacks would run away with it.

Personally, I would not want us to tank it. People are already referring to Atalanta as the real black and blues of Italy. Also, we already struggle against Atalanta as it is without having burdening ourselves with an added self-inflicted complex.

Also, I do not think that Conte would be happy with us going into a match and not playing to give our all and win. That is the kind of performance that would be expected from the likes of Spalletti.
