They are in the same region actually (Puglia - the "heel of the boot" so to speak). I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two accents since I'm originally from the North of the country, but I'm sure there will be a leccese or a barese on the forum who can clarify the details for us

Yeah, agree. I am very curious to see what exactly would be his "system". Does he plan to play with 3 at the back, or maybe to adopt his all time favourite 4-4-2 transforming to attacking 4-2-4?!
We are all inpatient, but I hope he will soon make his valuation of the squad and then decide what would be his preferred system and philosophy.
Personally, I would like to see his offensive 4-2-4 here. We will see...

Welcome to the club that will make you lose your hair once again.
For some inexplicable reason (I was six at the time) I still remember the petty quarrel he and Materazzi (the two, incidentally, share the same birthplace) had over the Italian squad call-ups for the 2002 WC. In particular, I remember Matrix teasing Conte about his balding head and inviting him to do something about it. Well, the glorious hair piece that Conte flaunts so proudly nowadays demonstrates at least that he is willing to listen to (good?) advice. Jokes aside, Zanetti often hangs around the Pinetina, and soon Oriali will join the staff as well. These two can certainly tell him a thing or two about Inter's chaotic environment, which Trapattoni (Conte's mentor at juve) used to call "la centrifuga" (= the spin-dryer). His professional choices have more than proved that he certainly doesn't lack confidence, but Inter is no ordinary (#notforeveryone) club and he better brace himself for a bumpy ride.
On a tactical standpoint, his teams don't play the brand of football that I like the most, but at the end of the day, tactics are a mean to achieve a goal and not the goal itself. I expect him to have Inter play with intensity, urgency, tactical discipline and purpose. Most of all, I expect the team to improve under him, both in terms of performance and results, in contrast to this season's stagnation. As for the board, I expect them to live up to little Zhang's words and to improve the roster accordingly.

That being said now that he is part of this club there really is nothing left to do other than support him. I really hope that suning trusts him 100% and follows through with what ever they promised him unlike they did with spallo. There really is no use in paying a coach 12 mio a season if you dont back him up and are ready to stick with him and follow through on your promises.
We ve seen what happens if conte does not get what he wants at chelsea and i dont want that to happen here.
While i m not ready to say forza conte and i probably never will it will always be forza Inter and since he s a part of this club now i wish him all the best and hope that he proves me wrong.

God, they're so cringey
It was pretty obvious that we were going after conte like 2 months ago, you wanna protest that or show your dislike of him do it before he signs the contracts and we make the official announcement.
But to only release the statement once he already is part of the club is quite meaningless and does not help anybody.
