This man was weeks away from finally getting united, what the fuck is he thinking. I could see him leaving spurs by the summer. Either way, this will be guaranteed fireworks

15 millions per year (at least this number is circling around) can do wonders.

Barella rejected Chelsea (and everyone else) to come to Inter. He certainly isn't leaving to go to Tottenham.

As for the Tottenham players who would make it to our starting lineup, i can only see the forwards and Reguillon starting for us.

Lo Celso would be an upgrade over Hakan but he is inconsistent and injury prone. Ndombele is inconsistent, a defensive liability and has a terrible attitude. Emerson lacks in the attacking third to play as a wingback. And none of their cbs would make it. Hojbjerg and Skipp would only be backups here.
Lucas Moura, whom I believe Branca tried to bring to Inter. Romero as a RCB would give Skriniar, De vrij, and Bastoni real competition if he was at Inter.

De Vrij is a legit shout. Raiola was at Inter HQ last winter/spring and commented only that ask them. Referring there's no extensions coming anytime soon.

Well, Bastoni got his. Now Toro, Barella and hopefully Brozovic. De Vrij extension has been nowhere in the news.

Unfortunately I can see us selling him to EPL if enough money is offered. Raiola has been shopping him there. His contract ends in 2023 so last time to sell him is next summer if we won't extend him.

What can anyone do at Spurs realistically though they've had Poch, Mourinho and Nuno. Excellent managers who achieved nothing (trophy wise) so I am unsure exactly what Conte can do with a team who has Dele Alli on their squad list, actually registered.

There have been rumours Raiola is expected in Italy in November to discuss De Vrij extension.

Well with the current squad there isn't much to achieve at Spurs. Best case scenario a fourth place and that's only because Man Utd are struggling. Else even that would have been out of reach. The question is what Conte can achieve next season if he is backed in the transfer market.

I'm all for selling De Vrij. As Cafe said next summer is the last chance we get to sell him, and by selling him we can switch to back 4 or move Skriniar to the middle and get a proper RCB, like Milenkovic.

Not just De Vrij, we should consider getting rid of some of our deadwoods or the ones on high salaries if Conte shows interest in them.

What evidence do you have that suggests Inzaghi wants to switch to a back four?

Never claimed Inzaghi wants to do that.

I just read a while back that Inzaghi's preferred formation was 4-3-3 before he decided to go 3-5-2 at Lazio because of the players he had, he might consider doing that at Inter if the situation leads him to it.

Barella isn't going to a team like Spurs.
The only way Barella leaves is if the biggest in the world (United or Real Madrid) come calling and double his salary. Which is a fear to be sure. PSG also have very little quality in the middle of the pitch besides the oft injured Verratti so they could throw ridiculous numbers at him. That’s why his extension needs to be done right now.

Anyway crazy Conte. He’s in for an uphill battle at Spurs. Kane is being hostage and has been generally shite so far this season (can Conte motivate him?) and there’s several players just not living up to their standards. Ndombele and Sanchez come to mind. And the competition in England is just fierce. City, United and Chelsea can throw money at whatever problems they might have. Liverpool are well run and well coached. Even if Levy gives Conte what he wants, what could they really achieve? An FA Cup and maybe a top 4 finish if all goes right? I would’ve have waited for United if I was Conte. There’s no way Ole Gunnar lasts.

And more than that, now he had the leverage to demand the warchest for the transfers. Levy is a proper fucking idiot. Threw away this season, pays Nuno's severance pay and probably even bigger salary to Conte than what he would have had to do in the summer if he promised Conte the warchest which was demanded.

Everyone talks about Conte being a coward for leaving Inter, taking the Spurs shows some courage coupled with a big boost in money. What Conte does will be interesting, if he has the budget he wants he may quickly build Spurs to be competitive in a years time. Liverpool, Man City maybe peaking with their current squads, ManU is static, Arsenal are up and down so the Spurs could be a factor. Conte will need to crack the whip to build up the physical and mental frailty inherent with Spurs though. Tough task.

Did I just read Brehme saying Son doesn’t get into our team 🤣🤣🤣

Son literally moonwalks into our starting lineup. Some things never change over here
Son is an upgrade over Correa, but he's not an upgrade over Lautaro. He doesn't offer what Dzeko is supposed to offer. Hence, he's just a luxury 3rd forward. If we could afford an upgrade for Correa, including the non-EU spot, sure, go ahead. But no, he doesn't moonwalk in our starting lineup.

There's no team ahead of Tottenham that wishes to have Son as their main forward. There's no team ahead of Tottenham that wishes to have Son as a second forward either. He's someone everyone drools over to have as a super-sub though. He's playing exactly at the level everyone expects him to thrive at.

De Vrij is perhaps too slow for EPL. Inter are very unlikely to sell Barella (who would probably be top of Conte's wishlist from Inter) and Bastoni, so I think tghe most likely targets could be Brozovic or Skriniar. Of course, for Skriniar it would have to be a crazy money offer to make Suning bite, which I just can't see Levy agreeing to.

Whatever Levy has promised Conte to make him accept the offer this time, it must have involved a big budget. My guess is that Levy will backtrack on it soon enough, a leopard doesn't change its spots, which also means fireworks for sure. Get the popcorn ready.

De Vrij might be indeed too slow for EPL. Heck he might be even too slow for CL in few years. But if Inter is not ready to pay him enough and he doesn't mind changing a country, I can totally see us selling him. Would put us in trouble for sure in the summer but I guess planning to sell him would include a plan to replace him too then. It all depends on what the player wants as always.

Why the fuck would he leave us for Tottenham! They’re a fucking riot and he won’t get the budget nor will he get the players as they’ll try to be stingy and will get shut down…again!!
