Candreva's agent just announced that the management and Spalletti asked the player to stay at Inter.

We are never going to get rid of the cunt, seriously why??? Fucking get rid of him he’s beyond useless. This shows why spallo needs to go

This policy is exactly why we'll stay where we are for the next few years.

It probably has more to do with a shortage of wingers, than it has a specific wish to keep Candreva.

I hate the guy as much as everyone else, but with Perisic publicly expressing his wish to leave - and the club doing most everything to grant him that wish, we'd only have Keita and Politano for the wings for 3 competitions, should we offload Candreva. Carrasco proably isn't coming, and we can't recall Karamoh (as far as I know) - so what other options are there? If we had a realistic alternative, I'd be all for getting rid of both, but it just doesn't look likely.

I know what looks best on the books also - if the club can get 40 mil. for Perisic, we're looking at quite a big profit FFP-wise (without being an expert), whilst what would most likely be some kind of measly loan + option for Candreva whom we bought for 20 million if I recall, doesn't sound quite as enticing.
There's nothing saying we can't just move him on in the summer, when there are more options in the market. His value likely won't decrease in any significant way anyway.

I know Candreva adds next to nothing, but I'm actually worried that Perisic, if he plays matches and sets his mind to it, could try to be an active detriment to the team. The motivation is just simply gone. That's much worse for the team as a whole than having someone who's just plain awful.

I'm not happy about it, but I very much understand where management is coming from. Keita + Politano, with Candreva as a reserve for the rest of the season looks very lackluster.
But just Keita + Politano could be outright catastrophic.

We have to adjust and react to the situation.

There's no point in using someone who you cannot rely on, be it Perisic or Candreva.

We have to switch away from the winger formations if that's what it takes.

TS: Antonio Candreva will stay at Inter as announced by his agent Federico Pastorello. This permanent stay, at least until June, is not something that Candreva himself wants to do. Recall that last summer, Inter tried to include him in an exchange with Keita Balde and this time, he was ready to go to Dalian Yifang but negotiation for loan exchange with Yannick Carrasco ran aground mostly because the Belgian’s massive wage of €8M net per season.

After Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset also confirmed that Candreva was interested to go to China. He would like to stay but he is playing very little and knows that he is out of the technical project. To pay Carrasco’s wage, Inter are thinking of offering him a five-year deal at €4M per season. I guess he did not accept?

I will forever be baffled by how Candreva missed that far wide at such a tight angle

Baffled, really? The answer is quite simple, and the answer is that it was Candreva.

Yeah it takes a special kind of retard to miss an open goal from that distance so bad that the ball ends up near the corner flag.

He is so bad and so frustrating to watch, he does everything wrong. I still fail to understand how a winger cant fucking control the ball properly. Fuck.

I hate seeing his face. He doesn't even run anymore - before, he was at least able to do that.

He's beyond useless, and should never start again, no matter how many injuries/suspensions we have.

so true. and we have rewarded him for that last summer with an extension of his contract up to june 2021.

apparently, that was done in order to save 1-2 under the ffp rules, but it's still retarded cause he earns 3.5 mil for year after taxes, which means (given a taxation of around 45%) he costs to Inter around 6.3 mil per year #Interlogic

Tbf he did ok at CAM. One of the few in the team who could dribble down the middle under pressure. People talked about his poor end product and decision making but at least we could push to the final third instead of just losing the ball at the half way line.

Yeah I watched the whole game. Blaming Candreva is always safe and fun I get it. But when our winger couldn't even dribble pass the halfway line, fell down upon the first body touch, and lost the ball for Rapid to counter attack again and again, at least he was able to dribble down the middle or sideline to push Rapid back. He's a hopeless case but I want credits go where it's due. And he will still be helpful for the rest of the season.

What's the point to dribble pass the halfway and then fell down ? You think this is better? What did Candreva produce ? That's not for credits its pathetic !

May I tell you that’s not called a dribble, that’s called a headless chicken run. And for that he desereves 0 credits because he missed does stupid things every fucking match. I would play Cedric before him. I just dont wanna see him play again.

Now he wasn't good by any means, but his corner kick that led to the Nainggolan goal was something refreshing to see after a gazillion of shitty corner kicks.

Two of our goals actually started from Candreva's feet.
