Inter have announced contract renewals for six players, including Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino, Antonio Candreva and Joao Miranda.

The Nerazzurri released the brief statement with all their big names included.

Brozovic and Vecino have signed new contracts to June 2022, while Candreva runs to June 2021.

Henrique Dalbert and Roberto Gagliardini are tied to the club until June 2023.

Defender Joao Miranda has also signed a new deal to June 2020.

Lmao I actually suggested he should start in the Barca thread for his 'stamina', I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on as I clearly know nothing. He's fucking dreadful.

Hope the contract extension is just to make more capital gains off of him.

Has Spalletti been asked any questions about Candreva in any of his conferences or from any fans?

Somehow he reminds me of Guarin.

What a nightmare that is.

Candreva extension looks weird. I though he'll leave after this season and Karamoh could take his place.

It's the FFP World Cup 2018 with Amortization Gymnastics discipline in focus hopefully.

Most likely the Candreva extension is to reduce the annual amortisation costs, which will help from an FFP point of view. The fact that we have done that for 6 players including Vecino, Dalbert and Gags, this could reduce the annual amortisation costs quite materially. Every little helps.

Maybe a necessary strategy to reinforce the midfield in January or is it going to effect the next season(s) mostly?

I would think it will effect immediately ie. for this fiscal year. At the end of the year (in June) amortization costs will be calculated and since the extensions are in, the costs will be lower. I truly hope Candreva won't play for Inter next season.

Besides Torino, Frosinone are also interested in taking him. In fact, the club of Moreno Longo has a very good odd of 4.00 of signing the former Lazio winger.

Meanwhile, he became a father

and Steven sent a card to congratulate them

How much do people reckon we'd get for him? Max 10m, I think.

We signed him for €22m in 2016 on a 4 year contract. After two years we renewed him on October 2018 for a further year until 2021. By January he'll have been here for 2.5 years but I can't remember whether the renewal means his original fee is divided among the new contract length or whether his remaining amortised value is divided among the remaining years including the added year extension. In the first case his book value would be like €11m. In the case of the former, around €8m or so.

I don't think we can afford to sell him at a capital loss, which is why I don't believe reports we'll sell him in January. I imagine a summer sale of around 10 million is realistic, perhaps in a swap deal like we did for Nainggolan where Candreva serves as the Santon.
