Don´t you guys worry about J.Z. It´s nothing but a good thing that he is finally rested in these minor-games. Mancio seems to know what he is doing..

I think we're currently the opposite of Arsenal. We're doing surprisingly well in the CL, but lagging behind in the Serie A. While Arsenal is doing extremely well in the EPL, but lagging behind in the CL. But, all our opponents have been fairly weak oppositions, so the match against Valencia will tell us of our capabilities. :fero:

Favalli is big failure so far.

According to the newspapers it was another great game by Veron :proud: (esspecially in the second half) and great one also for Cambiasso.

Didn´t see the match (only goals and some highlights) and can´t say much.

Can I just ask why Javier wasn't selected from the start. It is causing me concern to be honest as he hasn't been selected for the last few games now.
Right now, that's my only complaint. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment at all, it's an insult to him as a person.
He doesn´t deserve this kind of treatment at all? Why? Because he´s loved in this forum? Every player should be treated equally. If you are not in form, then the bench is the right place for you.

It´s not always an insult for a player when he´s not starting or when he´s subbed. J. Zanetti didn´t play well against Parma (hasn´t played that well in whole season) and he didn´t deserve to be at starting eleven, same goes for hugely unpopular Vieri. Vieri is rightfully critiziced for his poor form, but media and almost every member of this forum are going too far with their criticism. If i wouldn´t known better and when reading about Vieri in this forum, i would think he´s a milanista or something. What happened to the thought that we (fans) should support our own players when they are down?

Anyway, soo happy that we won, but i´m kinda sad that even when we aren´t called Internazionale for nothing, we had just two italian players in the field today and after Favalli (i read he was rightfully subbed) got subbed we had just one italian, Toldo. But we still are a Italian team and we should use (or buy) more good italian players. I know many of you disagree with this, but i just feel that way.

FORZA RAGAZZI anyway!!!

This was a great game Veron was superb but so was Cambiasso and Burdisso and Martins...

I know Favalli had a poor game but i actually thought he would look worse when i saw the game after the comments i read here...That is one position we are having a problem with along with depth in the central defence..

I agree with Tommi that no matter who the players is they should be benched if they arent in form,i said it about Vieri so i would be two faced if i didnt accept it for JZ also and i truly luv both of them and hope they shine...JZ isnt doing that bad but Vieri needs his scoring touch fast to serve his self esteem

I noticed same sad thing yesterday too and I'm one of rare member who actually agree with you completely in this case. It really sucks that also football becomes too global and differences in football culture that countries have are about to disappear. Decent amount of forgeiners club are all good for every country and club but some clubs including Inter have gone way too far in this case and it's big crap, I think.

In addition like you said we, are are basically Italian team regardless also forgeiners were founding this club. And in my logic Italian team should base their team on Italian players and use forgeiners to strengthen the club.

I brought up that issue a while back, and I've always been of the opinion that since we are an Italian team we should have more Italians than foreigners in the team.

But since we after all are Internazionale and we were founded by a group of foreigners, and it obviosly doesn't look like we care if he's Italian or not when we go after a player, I just don't care anymore.

I've let it go. Since the management don't care, neither will I.

Our full backs have been slightly disappointing so far...Pasquale included! (But he did look impressive during the pre-season? I wonder what went wrong?) nonetheless we are flying in Europe! & it feels good (The only disappointment was how the much loved Kompany looked average  I’ve always known he was over-rated, but still looked ok for an 18 year old :star: )

I do agree with you, but it has nothing to do with the number of Italians in the team. I am actually worried that as an Italian team we seem to have quite a few NT players, observe...

  • Toldo - retired... 0/10 (No hope at all)
  • Fontana - is too old 0/10 (No hope at all)
  • Cordaz - deserves a lot more, but even the fans don’t seem to agree (He single handedly won us the Tim Trophy with his penalty heroics!!!) 0/10 (No hope at all)
  • Favalli - had a great season with Lazio, and if he continues being disappointing then I could see him being axed 5/10 (Has a 50/50 chance)
  • Materazzi - is still enjoying his Inter career; the only dilemma here is he able to challenge Cannavaro (Italy’s captain!!!) and Nesta for a first team spell? 8/10 (Has a great chance)
  • Coco - is still a mystery, is he fit? Well he did look like it during the pre-season; he should at least be in the bench? 1/10 (A miracle? Maybe?)
  • Pasquale - is still my favourite left back (Dede has to be number 1) but it seems he is quite unpopular with the fans? So right now, I just hope he does continue being an Inter player 2/10 (A miracle? Maybe?)
  • Beati - ...Has anyone seen him training lately? 0/10 (No hope at all)
  • Rebecchi - Looked like he was going somewhere with Parma, and now that spell ended he does seem to be on his way into becoming another poor victim. 0/10 (No hope at all)
  • C. Zanetti - Just needs a good season! 6/10 (Has a good chance...)
  • Vieri - Well if the media continue biting his *** then he has no future here or with Italy! (All the newspapers seem to talk about how Vieri wasn’t missed etc & what’s more annoying!!! Is that Inter fans/Media think Vieri is too old/crap but Pippo, Montella, Raul and whoever else isn't!!! ) 4/10

As this shows, I do want influential Italians in my team  It seems only Materazzi has a good chance of making it, and the worrying thing is...How many Italain Inter players would there be in 2006? Potenza anyone? :proud:

Deki scored a great goal. Too bad the quality of the video on inter.it page is very low. Where could I find some better clip?

A better game but guys we are still playing agianst weak teams. Mancini played these games right but he should do this more often in the league. I dont know why people are surprised about the fact that we are topping the group. This is an easy group when you compare the squads and it is clear that after the 1st 3 matches we should have either 7 or 9 points not less.

Good game, good goals, dissapointing full backs and yes Toldo should have a rest.(Not because of the goal though. He couldnt do anything to the ball, but he saved a better one with the Viola when they played Roma 99/00 from Totti). But he should really take a big rest, I am not happy with him, been more than a year and a half now. Even when we reached the semi-fianals of the champions league, he didnt impress me (and i dare anyone to talk about the Valencia game, apart from that Toldo was a twat for the whole season). Who lisents anyway.

Cordoba stayed as captain, even when JZ was brought on, I dont understand though, with JZ´s unexpected problems so far this season, the captaincy would have been a salute to him from Mancini
Cambiasso was excellent, should have been rated 8 (at least)
Anyone notice as the match went on he started to lead more and more from midfield, keeping very little space between defence and midfield?
I think last nights was his breakthorugh within the squad, I eager to see more from this man!!!!

I totally disagree. We should pick/buy the best players regardless of their nationality. I couldn't care less if we had 11 players from mars playing for inter as long as we win. ;)
