Well, hopefully we won’t have many draws in Champions League matches at least.

We are playing against Anderlecht on Wednesday, and it won’t be an easy game, also coz it’s an away game. And it would be too hard for us, if Mancini starts with Vieri again, but I doubt he would do it in this match.

I guess we have already discussed on this sometime back. Why not use J.Zanetti in the left wing ?? It would be great, if it was possible, so that we can accommodate Ze Maria. Or can Ze Maria play in the left wing ??

How would that be ??

I would prefer the duo: Martins ---- Adriano, won't mind Recoba at all.

Its not that I don't want Van der Meyde to start, its just that I really would like to see Recoba start on the wing and form a trident with Adriano and Martins upfront.

Stefan I initially thought it was better to play Cruz instead of Adriano. But if we draw in Belgium the games against Valencia will put a lot of pressure on us, so I think it's best to play our best pair (Adriano-Martins).

Let's face it, we should be able to beat Roma even with Mancini and Mihajlovic playing as strikers :dielaugh:

If we get 3 points against Anderlecht then we could settle for 2 draws with Valencia, or a win and a defeat.

I cant believe that after all his great work no one here picked VDM to start.I dont know what he needs to do to convince u guys( although he needs the rest really) But the guy has been amazing in the matches since he started and has always been one of the best players we had on the pitch...

I think the best thing besides that he can dribble his way through and make those nice moves is that he can play on both wings really well(his assisst today was from the left) That fact makes him very versatile and gives us many options...

I have two reasons to play Ze Maria instead:

1) Ze Maria has been very good too and he´s a better crosser although not a better dribbler. With Mancini insisting to field both Adriano and Vieri they do need many and good crosses. And since Stankovic is acting more like a "Nedved" for us our right wing has to deliver those for our two towers up front.

2) Super Andy has impressed but he also played a lot lately. So he should rest.

Yeah, but just the little taste that Recoba gave us playing on the left wing gives me the impression that him and Martins are the missing pieces to the puzzle. If that means testing him out instead of Van der Meyde, than so be it.

Why Veiri ? Because i see this match as not a very hard one , it is away from the italian fans who cause such a pressure for BOBO , so it will be a risk worth-taken as BOBO may score and turn things around or we will play with a 10-man like we did in the last 4 matches .

Adriano , Stankovic shall be rested also for the Clash against Roma next week-end , VDM as well .

I agree, nothing less than a win will suffice. Valencia are incredibly tough at home and a W (or even draw) there doesn't seem very likely, therefore a win in Brussels is very important if this team is to advance. Our best possible team is needed for this one.

Adriano looked tired against Parma but WE NEED to win this one. VDM has also played well but Ze Maria was no slouch when he played on the RW. Our defense sucks but we'll have to live it, at least until January. And I am begging Mancio to stop starting Vieri! The guy is killing us and is stunting Oba and Adriano's (playing out of position) developement.

Milanhater,u bring a very good point when it comes to Valencia at home...They are always scary there and during the Cuper era when we looked solid in the back it took miracles to take away points there so i wonder how many goals we will concede with this defence which journalists describe as lacks personality...

The trident of Martins,Recoba,Adriano has been working really well, we have played with them in the last 2 matches (against atalanta for 20 minutes and yesterday for about 25 minutes) and we have scored 4 times all together, meaning we have scored 4 goals in 45 minutes. Against atalanta Adriano and Recoba scored while yesterday Oba bagged a brace with very good support from Chino! So why not start all 3? Ofcourse its a big risk but we could try it out against anderlecht as i have the feeling we could really be devastating with them.

As for the left-back spot i hope we try out Ze Maria instead of Favalli because if it works it would be just great. So because i will be able to see the match live im hoping for this line-up
