guys , really, dont care so much about pre-season games, those two teams are pathetic, specially brunico, Merda had an awful pre-season on last season, merdanista friends of mine told me that it was the worst pre-season of their pathetic history, and what, they won the scudetto!, pre-season is important for the team, but it doesnt show so much, specially to the fans.

Is Emre injured (again) ? Can anyone comfirm this guess?

Otherwise why can't he get a single minute in these 2 matches, after
all the fringe players like Sorondo, Lamouchi all get their chances on
the pitch, more or less.

Did I miss something? Since when is Coco a right-back? I saw that in the first game and thought it was a mistake or something!!!

I hope Mancini isn't trying to use Recoba in the left-wing to free up space for Vieri upfront. We were starting to see glimpses of Recoba's magic at season's end and he has to be our starting striker next season. If Vieri stays then it should be as Adriano's sub, sounds harsh but that's reality.

Looking at the starting lineup I hope we used a 4-3-3 formation.

I really hope that Mancini is not thinking of Chino as
a left winger. Everyone knows that he cant truley perform
on the left wing. This, regardless if we have a player acting as
a turbo runing up and down the field on the right wing, or
perhaps someone given more defensive role on the right!
Chino is a forward and thats the end of the story!
We have enough quality for the left wing, hence I dont want to
see chino our any other player playing in a non fav position
as we unfortunatly witnessed several times last season!

Throw that all away, we have a new coach. New mentality, rules, instructions and dozens of other stuff. I feel that we'll end up playing a 4-3-3 with Chino as a flanked left forward, but if he feautures in a 4-4-2 he'll be a very offensive left winger.

Regardless of where they put him on "paper", i feel his contribution to the team will be huge if he's on top form. He obviously won't be a forward in a 4-4-2 formation though, Vieri and Adriano are guaranteed to start.

As for Emre, supposedly he's not match fit yet. Well, that's a load of crap because Mancio gave the Italian NT players 20 minutes out of the game according to what i read on Inter.it.

I don't care about this result. We also made changes brining the just arrived players .... It's just friendlies. We used to win by big margin before, and what next in the Serie League ?? :D

The most important thing is they should play well and win in the league, that's what matter most ;)

And another pic of the new era. Fachetti doing his homework :

I just hope that it's true that Emre is not fit or received a knock. It'll be hugely ridiculous not to figure him out in the pre-season games if he's fit. But, I did saw Emre training separately a few days ago, so perhaps it's true that he's not fit.

About the captain armband, perhaps we don't use any??? :p

The result is shambolic of course. 3-0 should be the results when we play against the Anconas or Empolis, not against some amateurish team!!!

But if you remember, we had a great pre-season in the summer of 2003 but a very sad season in 03/04. So, I'm not too disappointed with this since it doesn't mean that we'll go through the regular season the same way we go through our pre-season.

I agree with you on the fact that players should be able
to play "almost" anywhere on the field.
However, my point was/is that when when a team has
players made for certain position then put him in his fav position
where you can gain the most out of his qualities .
True, Chino will play on the left wing if told to do so, but will
that be efficient enough!? Id say No!

Having said all that, these days players tend to roam a bit all over
the place. Meaning they are not tied down to a specific position
which subsequently will make it easier for the opponent to mark
them. So, I guess if Mancini is going to use a 4-4-2 formation
to start the games. Chino (if a starter) will have a free role on
the left wing, where at times he could even supprt our 2 forwards.

FFS. It's only a friendly, the result really doesn't matter. What matters is our first competitive match, the CL qualifiers. Then we will see the true Inter.

I am pleased that Jimmy also sees, like me, that Stankovic will play on the right.

Recoba has said he will be used as a forward and a winger. I think he will do much better as a winger this time around, although I think his performances last season indicated that he has found some consistency as a forward.

Mind you, AC Merda do have a habit of being pretty horrible in Friendly matches...Yet they seem to do well afterwards :yuck:

The pre-season results are useless. It is workrate and the effort they put into getting in shape for the season that is important. These matches are also useful to Mancini in order to test his ideas. Hence right footed Coco is tried as RB until Il Capitano is back.

I can´t imagine anything else than Emre being injured or out of form. Otherwise we would have seen him play. ;)

I wouldn't call the results useless. The results show that the team is doing well. Would you still say that the results are useless if Brunico beat us 5-0 and Adagio 3-0? No you wouldn't ;) You'd say something is definately wrong.

You also probably meant left-footed Coco as a RB as well ;)

Of course. As long as we win I don´t give a rat´s @ss about the result in training matches, unless it is against BBilan or Rubentus! ;)

And Coco is right footed like Han Solo said. He is just used to playing LB. :)

ZZANG: My guess is that Emre must be either injured or in very bad form. :hopefull:

No, you just got to watch him more, that is if he is healthy!!! I was shocked to learn he is right-footed too. Actually, it shouldn't come to no surprise since i can count the number of times i saw him playing on my fingers.

Ronaldo can play with both feet, IMO. :) But it's not a big deal of course. Del Piero, Totti, Pires and a hell lot more good players are right-footed players who play on the left. Hell, next season we may have a left-footed Adriano on the right! :D
