In terms of playmaking ability, Raspadori cannot replace Sanchez. We'd be better off training Correa to be Sanchez's replacement, and sign Scamacca as a backup to Dzeko (probably cheaper as well). This is the issue with Sanchez. Close to MOTM performance today. But two days later you'll find him injured. If we're so concerned about our finance, he needs to be one of the first to go, not De Vrij.

I have noticed that the posts regarding de Jong have not been very complimentary.

If this rumour has any mustard, is it the case that we are not so much as looking for a replacement for Sanchez but are instead tryingh to offload his high wages?

My concern here is that we get a 31 year old Dutch shitter who will do nothing but sit on our bench.

Even tough Alexis has been injured, he still adds something when he plays (as rare as that is). If we were to go ahead with this deal, it sounds like we would be losing a player that can make a contribution when he is fit and plays for a player (de Jong) that is shit and will not be able to make a contribution.

Is this an accurate assessment or am I missing something?

To be honest, I was going to suggest that recalling Pinamonti will be better than looking at de Jong.

But I did not mention that in my post because I felt the need of offloading Sanchez's wages was probably higher than replacing him someone that can score goals.

i know the reason Inter sell Sanchez to decrease their books. i'm just trashtalking, but the idea its just too bad. maybe Inter could trade Coutinho or Yusuf Demir for Sanchez at least. Luuk de Jong never have scoring double digit goal in a season.
