Adriano in the past had effort, the physical condition, and the results to show for it.

The Adriano of today may be determined, but he looks rather out of shape; that and the fact that he isn't scoring goals, something many of us determine as the yardstick of a striker's prowess.

I still believe in the guy, but he had better find the back of the net soon, and with regularity. After all, what's the point in keeping a striker that struggles to score?

Ciao,
Tim

Who cares if he breathes heavily? Even vs Reggina he was very active and running around like crazy until he got subbed 5 mins before the end.
He might have put on some bulk but it also helps him when battling for the ball. Remember how many times 2-3 defenders were all over him and they simply couldn't muscle the ball off him cuz Adri was much stronger and beat them shoulder to shoulder... fatboy can't do that cuz he's FAT, Adri is bulky IMO.

I like to remember when Adriano was pure muscle and could run by defenders (something he can't do nowadays), out-jump everyone else and unleash fierce thunderbolts that left the gk just standing in awe.

That Adriano was one of the best strikers in the world. Everyone is so hard on him because of what he once was and they want him to be like that again.

looks like getting injured back in 2005 made him pig out

maybe he just needs to stay injury free for at least 6 months

Valid.

To me it seems he simply lacks the mentality to handle tough times. He was on a run from 2001 to 2005, then he got injuried. His first real test was the injuries. Until now, he has failed to handle it. He undoubtly has the talent, but does he have the mentality?

GRANDE ADRIANO today :star:

Got a goal, made sure Inter stays undefeated this season. Would've had an assist if it were not for the bastard linesman.

Don't wanna hear anything on his performance.

It's either:

"Oh good performance by Adriano but if he can't find the back of the net we should sell him"

or

"Adriano got a goal but a horrible performance."

No striker in the world gives a good performance + a goal every single game consistently.

After seeing Adriano live like that, I want him to be sold. No movements whatsoever, ridiculous ball-control and an utter shit performance. The goal changed nothing.

It was atrocious to see.

I'm glad someone else also noticed his disastrous ball control throughout the game!
