Behold the next victim of D'Ambrosio.

for 5 million a season. I really hope not. I mean hopefully this solves our 10 year RB problem

If it’s a first refusal, then that’s absolutely fine.
That would only mean IF, WE decide to sell, then RM can match it if they want, to which in that case, why would we care where he goes if we decided to sell him to highest bidder.
I was worried it was an option, in which case I’d be pretty disappointed.
Nothing to worry here I guess.

Yeap, it's only a first option for the first 3 years under contract.

In layman's terms, this is what big boy teams call "dibs".

My favourite part of this transfer isn't that we got a potentially world class player, nor that we got him for relatively cheap, nor that he chose us over bigger clubs.

It's that this year, we won't have to deal with Zappacosta rumours.

This is difficult to pull even on Footbal manager, when you put filter on position and age under 21.

This is same like we would pull Halland on striker position.

It’s good to be back in business

Welcome and good luck!

I have a very good hunch about Hakimi.

Don't have one.
As suspected conte is a huge magnet for players.

Hakimi agent:
The coach has always been in touch with Hakimi, talking to him about the club project, so we decided to move to Inter. I believe that when a high-value coach like Conte contacts you and insists on wanting you with him, this is proof that he wants you to be an important part of his team

We finally have a nice synergy between competent management and coach that can attract players, and is respected outside of italy.

His agent also said Zizou is the reason Hakimi wanted out, don't think he will ever want to go back there as long as he's in charge

Can we disguise him into Candreva and make him play already?

Considering that our RWBs have produced 7 goals and 14 assists (plus 2 penalties) this season and the general consensus is that they are shite, I worry about the expectations on this kid for next season. I hope he is shown patience to grow into this role.

I am not expecting a better haul than Candreva from Hakimi next season. For a 21 year old in his first season at Serie A, that would actually be a very impressive end product.

I mean, they are kinda shit - Candreva, whilst he has put some decent output, has also been highly wasteful in getting there, and is very predictable in terms of play, too.

I dont think he'll necessarily outproduce in terms of output, but what I'd like to see is him create more dimensions to our attacking game. If he offers a real threat on the right wing, then it'll free up Eriksen and our other attackers to be more dangerous, too.

People are failing to realize Candreva's numbers are simply a byproduct of how often our attack plays through him. Part of this is Conte's system, and part of this is other teams forcing us to play through the wings. Candreva's numbers are not impressive; they're just numbers. He doesn't pass the eye test most games. Hakimi can easily outperform him while putting up inferior goal and assist totals.

Hakimi will rack up assists, double digits, no problem, especially if we focus our attacks on the right and work on our counters.

i dont think so tbh - double figure assists is REALLY hard to get - in Serie A, sanchez this season is the closest in 2 or 3 years - 17/18 Broz and Perisic had 9 assists a piece, we've not had double digit assists since Candreva in 16/17. Before that, you need to go back to Maicon in 09/10 who got 11.

We play a different system now which heavily relies on WBs. Double digit assists are definitely not unexpected when we get an upgrade to the position.

Honestly, people need to manage their expectations. It's very rare to ever get a player get >10 assists in a league season. There are only two players in Serie A atm who have that - Papu Gomez and Luis Alberto apparently.

Last season, Mertens had the most with 11.
