Cant really judge Hakimi's fee using Icardi's standard; our management dropped the ball and laundered our laundry outside. I believe we got one hell of a deal here considering hes up there with trent, Hakimi is so much more than that and he doesn't only fit conte's tactic as Dortmund plays with back 4. Its actually yet to be seen if he actually fits Conte's tactic but on paper he has everything he needs to succeed in that role.

I know eh. I'm pretty hard right now.

Thankfully, FIF is very realistic and rational place compared to other bases (not to name names but red & black). We talk a lot about the reality of the market and issues of sentimental value vs financial value, be it Pirelli as sponsor, or San Siro vs a new stadium etc. We all know that we need cold hard cash to compete with modern super clubs and that we need to modernise. However, despite that harsh reality, there's a part of me that never wants to be buying fucking Dembele's, Coutinho's and Bale's for €100m fees like Barca and Madrid.

As you mention, there's a perverse enjoyment in getting a great sneaky deal.

I think we wanted to keep this under wraps until September to keep the squad (looking at you, Antonio 'fragile ego' Candreva) focused and motivated. No tweets about it, no Instagram post, just a small post on the app and website with a few lines.

That's a weird one. I mentioned they have a First Option but this specific details seem odd. Usually they have an expiry date, not a trigger date.

Translation is right, only valid after the third year. So summer of the 2022/23 season I guess.
