How is this even possible? To be a Milan fan but to feel Inter like home? Guy is whoring himself to the highest bidder

Personally, I'd like Stefano Turati, who is probably cheaper and has good anticipation and reflexes, yet Di Gregorio may be better overall since he is more mature, though Turati's potential may or may not exceed his. He might be just homegrown in nation, but seeing him playing as a hardcore Interista would be nice. If Frosinone does not sign him, Sassuolo may gonna use him as a starter to replace Consigli.

Turati is horrendous unfortunately.

Montipo is probably the best GK in the bottom 10. Probably top 5 in the league.
Di Gregorio is close behind him. I'm not so sure on the Genoa GK. He's good but I just haven't seen that much of him to comment and from what I've seen, Genoa plays good defense in general so the GK benefits from that.

I also like Caprile, from last season in Serie B and I'm not surprised he found a Serie A job. But he's not one to become a bench warmer.

And another one that deserves a shout is Falcone, but his team's defending is usually awful.

Turati is probably Audero level. Which means we'd be satisfied with someone like him as a 2nd guy.

Another name that should be considered is Meret as he has still not extended his contract with Napoli.

What happened to the Brazilian guy, Bento. We were linked to him heavily in summer. He looked like a good long term option.

What happened is that we didn't sign him. :D

Let's see this summer what's gonna happen. I think it's wide open when it comes to the 2nd keeper. Ideally it's going to be a signing who's taking the reigns from Sommer in 2025 but wouldn't be surprised if we extend Sommer for one more season and we continue with a clear 2nd keeper (meaning cheap).

Sommer been so good, great mentality, fits into team, has experience and good shot stopping skills. Its his 1st season here and he will be 2 seasons more I believe until he's 37-38. . Why change? Carnesecchi is the only one who could replace him quality wise, but he has a price tag of 40M€ minimum.

Im fairly certain Beppe will make an offer to Meret. 26, would be good backup and competition to Yann.

I was going to suggest Carnesecchi as well. Italian, young, 191 and can properly replace Sommer in the hair department. His contract is till 2026, so if he doesn't renew we could get him for a cheaper price in the summer of 2025.

if we will be looking for just another Audero, a guy for 1 season, then there's a lot of options. Meret would also be good, but I don't know if he will ever be a great gk. I am sure Musso and Gollinis name will pop up once the summer starts... I'd love to go for a Bento, or Carnesecchi, but we ain't spending money, so good luck with that.
Lunin would also be great. He has just 1 more year on the contract.

I don't see anything special from Carnesecchi tbh. The best GK who's still maybe within our reach right now is probably Kobel.

Sommer's best farewell gift would be bringing his countryman here to succeed him.

Lunin much better than Carnesecchi, but his dream to be number 1 in Real Madrid.

Courtois has a serious long of injuries, so there is still a chance, I hope he can do it, a good goalkeeper.

Sommer has at least 2-3 years ahead. I have the least concern about him. But having a proper backup is not bad idea specially a young Italian one

I like him and out of all Serie A GKs he looks to me as the one with highest ceiling. But his ball contribution is poor. Of course he's still young and has big room for improvement but i don't think he's ready for a top club yet.

I used to see Meret as the next great Italian GK but that ship has sailed. He's just too inconsistent. He would be great as Sommer backup but i doubt he would accept the role. Also he isn't exactly a free agent. Napoli have an option to extend his contract for one more season. If they take it, ADL wouldn't sell to Inter.

If Meret leaves Napoli then they will definitely keep Gollini. Else he would be a decent backup. Musso would be fine as a backup as well. But i would consider them only if they come on the cheap. Else not worth it.

If Sassuolo go down Consigli could also be an option as a stop gap.

best thing would be to spend on a younger GK, that could be a starter in a year, or two, when Sommer declines... We had the right plan with Trubin.
If we will be looking just for a loan, then yea, Consigli is perfectly fine. I wouldn't even be surprised if we keep Audero for another year and Stankovic stays at Sampdoria next year as well.

Sommer has a couple of seasons more in him, so we are in no sort of hurry to find a replacement as it stands. GK can also be hard to predict as it’s not just talent but also mentality and ability to learn from mistakes as well as being able to read the game. Personally I like to see how Stankovic develops over the next couple of years… before making rushed decisions on the matter.
