He always defends his players, nothing new here.
It’d be silly for a manager to throw any of his players under the bus. Especially right now. We’re 1st in Serie A, round of 16 in the CL and generally playing very good football. Deep down I’m sure Inzaghi would love a third striker he could rely upon to score goals and make things happen but he can’t exactly come out and say that to the press.

Nobody knows how Inzaghi feels deep down, but as a manager he always try to protect his players. So, there is nothing surprising in his statement. It was completely expected.

Don't have one.

Oh, I can tell you immediately how he feels just by looking at his actions in the last game where he didn't sub neither alexis or arna.
He was like you almost cost me the last game now i m not gonna even entertain that option.

I bet he would sell his kidney just to have a half decent bench striker.

Now Benzema would be a proper reinforcement, probably the best possible?!

However, Benzema is currently earning 200M 😅 perhaps he realised:

- his place is not there (cultural, lifestyle)
- he is too good to play in retirement league (with his professionalism he would dominate Serie A for the upcoming 2-3 years)
- money is not everything.

Former goalkeeper Sebastien Frey thinks that Inter have the chance to sign Karim Benzema this month, calling the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner ‘a possibility’ for the club
The 36-year-old French striker left Europe for Saudi Arabia last summer, joining Al-Ittihad on a lucrative three-year contract worth up to €200m net per season. He has started fairly well in the Saudi Pro League, scoring nine goals and providing five assists across 15 matches.

Benzema has reportedly grown unhappy with life at Al-Ittihad and is keen to leave the club this month. He was recently excluded from the club’s training camp in Dubai and has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

Speaking to TV Play via Calciomercato.com, Frey discussed Benzema’s situation and suggested that he could make the jump to Inter this month.

Benzema is at odds with Saudi Arabia, he could be on the market as early as January. I’ve read and heard about Marotta, who hasn’t said yes to his arrival but hasn’t denied it either. The priority is Sanchez’s exit, if he leaves Inter then Benzema can be a possibility.

Alexis Sanchez’s contract with Inter expires at the end of this season and for now he’s rebuffed any interest from Saudi Arabia.

Should things change and the Chilean forward decides to leave in the coming weeks, the Nerazzurri could try for Benzema, although it’s hard to imagine how they could afford his wages.

Does any1 know what was Benzema earning at Real Madrid last year?

€24M

For perspective, our highest wage earners this year are Lautaro and Hakan and they're only at €11.1M. Madrid had nine players last year with higher salaries than that.

If by a miracle Benzema comes, that means Thurman will step back to the bench right ? Doesn’t make sense

Apparently we've asked Chelsea for Broja.

Chelsea value him 50m £, lol
of course they do. The only problem is that the guy is closer to 5M in worth... In the end he will either leave them for free in a couple of years, or some idiot English club will actually spend a bunch of money on him and he will never be any good.

Broja is actually good. He's not worth that price tag, not even close to that but form a footballing perspective, he's very talented and has a great physique.

Besides of making a wrong step by returning to Chelsea, his injury record is worrying as well. I can still see him succeding in any other team under a proper regime. I kind of dislike his attitude sometimes, but like I said, a good coach can turn him into a monster I think.

Benzi would be a massive signing

Too much of a risk, will rock the boat with Thuram development.

Benzi has enough quality to question who should be in the starting 11, and enough of ego to fuck up the dressing room to demand it. If his ego was in check then I would be all for it but he is not quite there yet.

Martial for free would be all reward no risk bet come June. And if Spurs didnt go for him, I would have liked Werner too.

Otherwise I can't see anyone that could help with that position coming off the bench....

Oh I see. Didn't know he has such problem. That's a big no-no for me too

Martial will be out till April after undergoing a groin surgery. I am posting it as he's a popular suggestion on FIF

As long as he is primed for August - Free agent, no risk.

Assuming his salary is 4M net, makes sense for me
