I would take Giovanni Simeone if Napoli are open to sell him for 18-20mln. He would be decent 3rd option and will guarantee us some goals.

He is probably better than Thuram. But a deal is not possible as Napoli redeemed him this window if I remember correctly.

I like Giovanni Simeone, but not sure I like him for this team.
I don't understand why we have to go for old big names, like I don't think Gerard Moreno will be worse than Morata as a 3rd or 4th striker for us; except he might have some injuries problems, but the thing is La Liga does have a lot of good old strikers, not starters for us, but can give a lot especially the midfield we are going to have.

the likes of everton has bid accepted at 35 Mill by psg for talents like hugo ekitike and we don’t even bother to compete or try our luck on signing him? i think he can easily replace dzeko loss and his playing style would suits inzaghi formation. we have cl and lifestyle advantage that can attract those players and yet we waste time on 20 mill offers for 30 years old players?

That's what happens when everyone knows you are desperate. This is where management fucked up getting played by Lukaku. Classic oh he cheated on his gf for me, he'd never do it to me.
Can't believe this shitfuck ruined two mercato for us,

Don't have one.

Nothing surprising there, our scouting network is one of the narrowest imaginable, at least when it comes to signing players for a first team. Even lautaro was brought here because milito vouched for him and not because we unearthed him.

And you can see that again this summer when it comes to our preferred striker options, just the plainest and simplest options imaginable, which sometimes is not bad, but when you are in the situation we are in currently you really need some creativity and risk.

He's shit. PSG trying to get rid of him actually.

Taremi AND Armautovic? 👀

34 years old player who was last season out for 111 days and had five separate injuries. It is only going to get worse.

Seriously hard pass. Kind of tragic, really. When he finally has the mind of a professional football player, his body breaks down.

Taremi is three years younger and only missed one game during last three seasons and even that because of covid. Line has to be drawn somewhere and for me it is between these two players. Taremi, yes. Arnautovic no.

If Balogun is off the table I’d look to Morata if his release clause is still active, given that everyone else is trying to con us with mediocre players. Morata isn’t exactly thrilling but you know what you’ll get, at a reasonable price.

Then muster all remaining effort into shipping Correa. Sanchez will do as replacement. Best case this scheme may leave a few quid that can be used to fund a new RCB.

I wanted Morata if we weren't able to get Balogun. His salary was really high and he's on the wrong side of 30, but a few weeks ago, I had a feeling the options would only get worse and worse.

I believe Morata signed a new contract with Atletico a few days ago and clause may no longer be valid.

It may be unpopular opinion to some, but:

I'd rather we keep Correa and forget the Arnautovic rumors.
We still need a striker though. Arnautovic could come with Correa staying - worst option though imo. He should only come as a replacement.

I don't blame Lukaku, it's our management that needs to be held accountable.
Actually I'm not agree here. The latest information was that Chelsea ACCEPTED our last bid for Lukaku. The problem was that he was waiting for Jube.

Apart from his shit personality, I think that the decision to get him for 40mln was very good. Because, as we can see now, it's almost impossible to find a proper forward for same money.

I’m okay with getting Taremi. Would be a nice upgrade over Dzeko. But I would like us to sign someone who can grow over the years. Someone who can link up with Lautaro.

It's their obsession of getting Lukaku. They could have gone for Openda who went for 42m or they could have gone for Scamacca sooner and without the Hojlund deal, Atalanta wouldn't have been able to swoop in.
