It's strange when Candreva looks the best option in this list 😄

If you look at the list for more than 30 seconds, you are at risk going blind forever :yao:

Unfortunately Ferdi Kadıoğlu is very expensive by our standards !

Candreva would probably be the cheapest and for half the season the best option. Every other player would have to learn the system, while also I don't see us spending money for Buchanan now. Djalo doesn't really help, as he means moving Darmian to the right, which I also don't really want, as Darmian is better as a CB and we can get him for free in the summer. Plus, Djalo has not played football in forever, cause of injuries...Meunier and the Monza guy are not good.

At this point Bisseck has played so well we have to decide whether we really want to consider Djalo. Long term it's still probably a good move but I don't see the need to sign a RCB in January.

Buchanan would be an interesting addition. I think he could be a long term upgrade on Dumfries in terms of attacking output. With that being said I still wish we would use our limited resources on a striker but that just doesn't seem realistic right now.

I just don't think Dimarco and Buchanan can be on the pitch together. Both are poor defensive players. Dimarco needs to be paired with someone who can put in a good defensive shift.

Yeah I haven't seen enough of Buchanan to really make an assessment on whether we would be balanced with both him and Dimarco. I could certainly see what your saying being the case. However, the only thing I would say is if we sit as deep as we have been that would probably mask a lot of that weakness.

I just really don’t see it in Buchanan. He is nothing like the wingbacks we have had and where a succes here except from maybe Perisic. But Perisic was an elite player. Buchanan isn’t…

He seems like a player that would be a project for sure. It’s not like he’s dominating in Belgium. We have to give some credit to our scouts though.

Buchanan is mostly comparable to Cuadrado from what I've watched of him. Decent dribbler, pacy - tactically would need a lot of work to play in Italy imo. Also has a tendency similar to Cuadrado to take on his man when it would be simpler to play an easy pass.

What is the reason to bench him? Potential transfer or just him being a shit.

IIrc no one in Belgium rates Buchanan highly, average at best, if not shit. When he was first linked with us in summer.

Alarming signal of he is going to start for us next season. Considering Dumfries is also being sold to avoid a Skriniar bis.
