Even if Modric can emulate a Pirlo like effect on our midfield we don't have the personnel to babysit him at the age of 34-35... Brozo and Nainggolan are great engines, but it just won't work IMO.

Not to advocate more pointless Modric discussion but they aren't comparable. Modric's engine, work rate, endurance and pace have always been probably triple that of Pirlo. Modric isn't bad tracking back and he's deceptively fast. He would probably do five laps of a running track in the time Pirlo would do one.

I meant the Modric decay process - he will lose most of his workrate/endurance/pace at the age of 35, no doubt.

All we can rely on at this age is his passing and vision, and yeah, I agree - he ain't no Pirlo either. Still, he's an intelligent midfielder and could give us a helping hand even if he was 37.

[h=1]TyC Sports - Palacios, l'Inter fa sul serio: emissari in Argentina per il gioiello del River Plate[/h]
We are sending scouts to Argentina for Palacios,River Plate's jewel apparently. He costs 15mil according to his release clause, but the club wants to double that already.

He is a typical CM as far as i know.

Atletico are also after Palacios. According to Marca, Andrea Berta is in Argentina to watch him closely and make a move soon in order to avoid another Lautaro Martinez situation.

I love that kid, there's so much potential, but it might not end up well. Argentina is bound to deliver some new jewells but we rarely succeed in importing them directly.

H basically has the potential to be a much better Banega.

I repeat. He's a kid. That's the problem. The talent is there, plus we usually can tame crazy people and just let them be in the field. 15m seems quite a lot, but if you account inflation and Ricky Alvarez, it sounds like a decent deal.

As for your earlier comment, he's not a typical MC. He's something between Banega and Aimar. His input will be almost exclusively offensive unless he picks up the defensive work rate. He plays deeper sometimes due to formation changes.

I say pass on Palacios...rather get Barella...the Sardinian well,he can dribble amazingly, pass well, long and short passes,he can tackle,he is aggressive(maybe even too much at times)...reminds me of a young Nainggolan...B2B master tbh.
bonus...Inter fan! the commitment shouldn't be in question here!

forget classic DM's...they are a dying breed...we need dynamic players in mf.

Barella-Brozo
Nainggolan

better than having Vecino who wanders around so clueless in defensive positions...it hurts to watch

however Cagliari wants 50mil now for the player...according to latest reports...a bit much i'd say
and Liverpool seem to be very interested

Yeah, also probably the best player around currently raped a girl, our best midfielder failed his driving test like seven times and so on.

Being and idiot and/or a scumbag, even a criminal doesn't correlate with performance on the pitch.

As soon as Premier League clubs start looking at a player then we are most definitely priced out of the market. Fucking Wolves can spend more money than us with that tv deal. If we sign someone it'll be loan with option to buy and they know they can just get big money outright for Barella.

yeah ok true but we need steel in midfield, someone to hold possession better than Vecino, win a duel here and there in defense, more disciplined player...not an exclusive attacking minded player who is still a kid in Argentina.that's the point.

We do need that creative spark a guy like Palacios can provide though. Those Laudrup-esque passes in the middle are what Icardi is waiting for his whole life.

If he cant defend or does not do it whats the point of getting him? What we need most is a ball playing dm atm, even with bro and vecino quite often we dont have enough cover from our midfield so how is a 19 year old who cant defend gonna help us?

That beeing said i never saw the kid play but your discription of him realy makes me question why should we get him. That you compared him to aimar and banega did not really help cause imho neither of them really made it in europe! Not denying they are amazing players but both of them fell short of expectations once they moved to europe.

I'm not disgusted. I'm more intrigued why you'd want to date 3 girls at the same. I love vagina as much as the next heterosexual male but women are fucking crazy. My gf winds me up on a semi consistent basis and she's a pretty low key, chill person. I can't imagine having too juggle 2 more women. Fuck the sex when your sanity is at stake.

The Modric saga is lame. If it didn't happen in the summer, it aint happening ever.

Modric  Ausilio said getting Modric is impossible only two days ago! Couldn't they at least wait till his interview was forgotten?

Speaking of Di Maria, Pierpaolo Marino believes Ausilio will try to sign Di Maria on a free transfer. Then again, he also thought we would sign Barella on deadline day.
