Different players though. Benassi has been playing more a Marchisio type role, while Crisiteg I gues would be more comparable to a Motta type role.

honestly, both of them have a lot of quality. if they get playing time and good coaching, i can see both of them in nerazzurro. ive spoken to a lot of torino fans who say that benassi is on the brink of breaking out. while to me, crisetig is the kind of player that will get so much better as he gets older.

Right, Crisiteg is 2 years older but he plays in a position that requires a lot of experience. If he gets playing time with the right club, he'll age like wine as most Italian players in his mold do.

yeah, crisetig's game isnt about physicality or speed. its all about his vision, technique, and positioning.

I assume you mean well and only want whats best for Inter but your delivery is lacking and comes across as :chan:

When I read this I thought I was in the Jonathan thread for a second.

CdS – Inter and Barcelona discuss Montoya and Song
A meeting in Lega between Fassone, Ausilio and Barcelona Sporting Director Ariedo Braida. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, there were also discussions regarding Martin Montoya and Alex Song. “The first intends to leave Barça because last season he did not find much space, but for the moment the directors have pulled the brake unless an important offer arrives. The second one is clearly out: West Ham, where he spent the last season on loan, would like to keep him and is ready to offer £5 million. Even Southampton seems interested. Inter have offered a loan with the right of redemption in 12 months and Braida did not close the door. Mancini likes the player and it is still a solution to keep in mind.”

great question! the answer is: no more!

buuut, if Mancio insists on another cut-price experienced head in the middle, I'd much rather have Thiago Motta or Alex Song than Felipe Melo ...

Benassi, Cataldi, Crisetig, Sturaro, Verratti are the future cm's for Italy nazionale (ok, add Jose Mauri too), after Pirlo, Parolo, Marchisio, De Rossi.

If Inter were looking for another DM, I would vote for Benassi or Rabiot. (low cost, highly talented)

I rate Benassi highly. He is an allrounder, no weaknesses. If he keeps on improving step by step he gonna turn into a fantastic teamplayer.

I agree that we have many defensive mids but not many that are good enough to bring us in the Champions League!

In the central midfield we have Kondogbia, Brozovic, Medel and Gnoukouri but just Kondogbia has the class to make us Champios League contenters so in my opinion we need one more defensiv midfielder with high class and for me thats Song. He is a strong guy, great technique, incredible passing skills, I always have liked him.

I've watched every PSG match since the Serie A revolution started in Paris, and I promise you that Rabiot is no defensive midfielder; this is real life, not FIFA ...

my love for Verratti knows no bounds ... spend the next €50M on him, Thohir! #dreamland

Rabiot is a DM. (and CM too) He is playing in that position, often in the left-central DM position in PSG's 433 formation. Yes, he scores a decent amounts of goals, but still, a DM. He obviously knows how to score goals, 4 goals in 10 starts, he can easily play CM or boxtobox just as good.
He looks like Fellaini jr, but got better techniqe.

I don't think another central mid should be on top of Inter's list right now though. Other positions in the team looks weaker. Mancini perhaps knows a winger to spend 30-40 million on? :trolldad:

Someone deleted my Alex Song thread? The jinx has been lifted. Now you have only yourself to blame. :work:

Song - 2m loan now (8m next year)
Perisic - 10m now (5m next year)
---------------------------------------

I'm against splashing anything serious on song, but loan with option to buy only? Would be a very smart move to fulfill our mf acquisitions this summer. His fantastic run of form for west ham at the start of the season was recent enough to take the chance, no doubt.

Song? the flop from mid-table side West Ham? em, no thanks. We already got Kuzmanovic.

Biabiyany? heart disease....nope

Why spend millions on mediocre players to sit on the bench?
There are several backup players in the Primavera.

And Mancini seems to prefer to put Kova in the LCM position. I wanna see him in at LCM all season, no Song flops to steal 10-15 matches from Kova.

Doctor, Biabiany apparently passed his medical and he came for free.

Didn't west Ham decide they didn't want to redeem him? That's a red flag.
