He seems to get a lot of goals but is he really the smooth passer we need in midfield? Because that is what we need.

Agreed. I feel like he's always overlooked a lot.

Maybe, but he always looked fairly ordinary for Italy though. Makes me question his ability to step up to a big club. He gives me the Cerci vibe.

Sau is small he brings speed, technique and finesse. Some teams are simply looking for other attributes, shots from outside the box, crossing, aerial threat.

Easily one of the most underrated players for the last few yrs, always showing up in the big game.

Cerci is another great Italian option of the same generation I think.

My post was about Soriano. Sau is a decent player, but not a big club player. There is a reason why at 28 he is playing in Serie B

Cerci is the definition of a small pond player. He has failed time and again at big clubs.

I disagree, these players have topped charts, Cerci with more options available.

Certain systems or tactics benefit players, same goes with teammate attributes and time to bond.

I think the two together could lead a team to victory in attack.

Italy is a defensive league and these are standout players, hard to do everything when also asked to sit bench.

CDS: Meet between Ferrero's Samp and Inter for Eder,Dodo and Frog at Appiano
The Italo-Brasilian though only has his mind on Samp as he says in the exclusive interview...

I'd take Eder yesterday tbh...

What are we gonna do with Eder? We have tons of forwards in our squad. Jovetic/Ljajic and Palacio sitting on the bench and what not.

Yea, and we just renewed Palacio's contract.

If we hadn't, we could've assumed he is Palacio's replacement.

Anyone watches the Brasilian league? Could you tell us a bit about Malcom and Gabriel? Those two are the most prominent talents nowadays, aren't they?

The contract renewal might not mean much. Might just mean that we don't want him to leave on bosman. At. Madrid renewed Miranda's contract before loaning him to us for 2 years with a obligatory buy at the end. I think the chances are that we send Palacio to Boca at the end of the season and swap him with Calleri + cash.

To be honest I was thinking about the samething too. Because in my mind I couldn't any other explaination for this ridiculous extension, but:

1- Miranda is younger
2- Miranda is a defender so age affects him less than a forward
3- At. Madrid didn't know that we were going to sign Miranda. We could've just told Boca to give us Calleri and we won't renew Palacio's contract so he can sign with them in the summer. Why did we go through the trouble of renewing his contract?

I appreciate he hasn't been linked, but Valdivia of Internacional looks a real prospect.

Actually Atletico renewed Miranda's contract so we could get him on a loan.

Eder wants Inter says FCINews
The Italian NT player doesn't want to miss the last train to a big club and is trying to convince the Doria officials and Ferrero to sell him. However the controversial president wants 15mil EUR for his star striker. A number which is clearly inflated and could be a problem for Inter, however as the two clubs are in good relations an agreement could be found in the region of 12/13mil.Clearly with Inter selling a few unused players before. Also Mancini was in Genova after the Empoli game officially for personal reasons but he might have had a talk with the Brazilian born player.

I like Eder a lot but maybe we need a midfielder with" good feet" even more than a striker, but Eder knows where the goal is and we are lacking someone else besides Icardi who can find the net, as JoJo is AWOL lately tbh and Ljajic ain't a practically good finisher as seen yesterday...

Inter are working hard again on the mercato, following the surprise loss to Sassuolo that somewhat dented their Scudetto hopes as they surrendered top spot. In this sense, just like the more classic TV dramas, back in the picture is the name of Lavezzi, who isn’t playing in Paris but will probably stay in Paris until the end of the season. Unless a club offers PSG a satisfactory offer to already get him this month. not entirely a remot hypothesis, emphasized by Alessandro Moggi, a known Italian attorney and partner of Pocho’s agent, Alejandro Mazzoni: “There is the possibility that he will arrive at Inter in January. He has said many times that he misses the Italian league, but much depends on the will of PSG, a major club that has great respect”.

A significant opening that will come from the agent of the player, who so far believed that the player will remain in France until June but now seems interested in an immediate transfer. It’s not an easy option for the nerazzurri, especially with the costs of the operation, but do not exclude the idea entirely. The market story seems to take on different scenarios everyday and until the end of this market we can not exclude any epilogue, even if the most likely event is that the deal is postponed until June.

Inter will meet Ezequiel Lavezzi’s agent today and PSG could let him go for €6m, according to reports.

The Argentina international has been linked with the Nerazzurri throughout the transfer window, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that Lavezzi’s agent Alejandro Mazzoni will arrive in Italy today and will meet the San Siro club, although an appointment hasn’t been set yet.

The newspaper believes that the former Napoli forward is seriously considering leaving before his contract expires and says that the French champions have demanded €6m for a January sale.

Gazzetta also points out that Inter’s acceleration towards a deal would have two benefits: Adding a quality player to their squad immediately and avoiding competition that could offer El Pocho higher wages in the summer.

Pajo we had two of them, Kovacic and Hernanes. Both sold. Now we need to spend another 20 milions for bench player?
