De Rossi might be stretch. He could be a huge player on any team in the world. He offers a lot in attack and defense. But the other two I don't rate as high. Mostly because they play for our rivals. I'd hope he could develop into a player much like montolivo, which I don't see paulinho(his alternative, or vice versa).
But a great prospect he is.

Poli and Paulinho are different kinds of players. Paulinho is mostly a box-to-box. Strenght and pace instead of high technique.

i can't understand why so many fans rate poli high...he didn't convert a single goal or assist
he has determination, he is young, i agree, but in terms of skill, pass, shot, tackle...i'd say he is a quite average player
maybe he can improve but i can't see the possibility that he will become a top player like de rossi
this is why no other top teams are interested in him
i won't object inter to sign him, but i also won't feel sorry for losing him

you watch a lot of the brazil league? i dont, i havent seen much of paulinho at all. only 2 games, but he was great in both and had some good passing but not better than poli.

^did you even pay attention to him? he was awesome and an amazing team player. he also improved from game to game, mostly, and deserves a chance to play for inter. i believe he and gaurin would work well together, because he is that box to box player. the only two things i would say poli needs to work on are short passing, he missed a few easy passes but showed good vision. and shooting, not to important.

hmm,,, his goal againts genoa at copa,,
he have passion to wear black n blue,, thats the biggest reason why many fans rage when we didnt sign him,,
and we dont have a many option to get another midfield with that range price,,

instead keep playing ageing deki, many people will love to see more obi and poli on the pitch

Saltato anche Poli - che sembra destinato a sbarcare al Napoli - le alternative per il centrocampo potrebbero essere: Fernando, Sahin o De Jong

Not bad..

Paulinho out officially. Poli has to be reconsidered again or maybe Strama would want someone else first.

this is where i worry about strama's ability to manage a project. he's a decent tactician and manager, but a project is a whole different thing. identifying players you want, who will fit the mould, etc...

who was the last inter manager to get the signings he wanted? Mourinho in his first season..? Mancini, Quaresma (who cost over £20million), Muntari, Jimenez (who?)...
That was £53 million on dross.
His reluctance to sell meant the club made a loss of £46 mill on transfers.

Next year management came in and bought Milito, Eto'o, Motta, Sneijder, Lucio, Pandev, Mariga and Viviano for 50% more. I'd say there's 50% more talent there. And the club made over £10million profit on transfers that year.

Now I know Mou wasn't personally responsible for negotiations but it seems likely he demanded more control of transfers and the signings of Quaresma and Mancini and his early attempts at a 4-3-3 mirroring his Chelsea side (big man up front with two tricky wingers either side) suggests his significant influence. And surely noone believes we would have signed Quaresma for that much without Mou taking charge.

But as Mou has repeatedly said, all one remembers given time are the winners. Mou won, so we don't criticise him for being terrible in the transfer market and we don't give the club credit for the excellent work in the transfer market which enabled him to succeed.

I mean different in a sense that Poli isn't much of a player who runs with the ball while Paulinho usually tries that provided he has the space to do so. They have different playing styles.

I really can't find a player in european football to compare Paulinho to because it's not very common having CMs who get forward to the point of becoming another striker in an offensive play. He's not highly technical but he's not bad with the ball on his feet either. He's just not the guy to make long ranged passes all of the time.

Since Guarín will probably be a starter, I think they're keen on Paulinho exactly because he'd fit better that Poli. Paulinho is a better defender than Guarín while I see Poli behind Guarín in that department, so a midfield with both Guarín and Poli would need a pure DM to provide decent cover.

We should go after Marco Veratti (before he will go to that French money fags). Veratti is REALLY one of the biggest talented italian players at this moment. 12mil would be enough i think

Juventus tried to push 8 million euros to Pescara but they're firm asking for 12. Now, if PSG really wants to sign him, then I don't think we stand a chance.

That was £53 million on dross.
His reluctance to sell meant the club made a loss of £46 mill on transfers.
Quaresma cost 18.6 million EUROS + Pele.. Luis Antonio Jimenez was a player of Roberto Mancini, FFS.. and Mourinho was from day 1 interested in selling.. 21 + 3/24 + 3, ring a bell?

Next year management came in and bought Milito, Eto'o, Motta, Sneijder, Lucio, Pandev, Mariga and Viviano for 50% more. I'd say there's 50% more talent there. And the club made over £10million profit on transfers that year.

And you know that Mourinho hadn't requested for anyone of those players how? I mean after all, the club has done amazingly since Mou left and they began ignoring the manager's requests right? So much so that we're the odds on favorite to win a European trophy this season...

Fact is, I don't believe for a second that the 2009 transfer market was not influenced extremely by Jose. He may not have directly requested those names, but the fact that all of Milito, Motta, Lucio, Sneijder and Eto'o were instant and permanent starters on his team confirms that he wanted a new striker, a creative midfielder who could hold the ball, a creative attacking midfielder who had vision and a striker who could score and take the load off of Ibrahimovic. Eto'o coming was a blessing in disguise for us..

either would be better than that 31 year old from bologna. poli would do well in a midfield of 3 or 4 while paulinho has the ability to play in a 2 man midfield like an energized motta. (from what ive seen this is his style, of my comprehension of it)
isnt paulinho good in the air too? i was pretty hyped about us signing him but since those rumors or him getting a new contract and poli not even being being on our radar anymore. it really seemed like we had those 2 wrapped up and our midfield would rock next season but it seems like we fucked up both, unless miracles...

You're right on Jimenez. There are conflicting reports on Quaresma but even at £18 mill who aren't sitting there feeling like a bargain.

Moratti at the time made just about the only pointed comments he ever made about Mourinho saying that tranfer strategy was going back to the club. Lucio had the hallmarks of a ballplaying centre back Mou so wanted. But the club made those decisions. You do not have to be a world class coach to understand that Etoo, Sneijder and Motta represent upgrades worth playing.

You are bent on representing Inter in a negative light. Your prerogative.
