Meh, I'm not using hindsight... I wanted Livaja to stay at the time we got rid of him... Before Milito was injured. This was because it was plain to see that Rocchi was much worse than him at the time (and now), and we needed depth due to being involved in multiple competitions.

But as I said somewhere else: The first mistake was bringing Rocchi. After this useless transfer the loan of Livaja makes sense. Without that transfer Livaja would have get enough playing time here - Milito hurt or not. It's the Rocchi transfer in which I can see absolutely no sense. On the Rocchi transfer followed the then logic Livaja loan.

And just to mention how people were bashing Livaja and calling for Longo after that miss blivious:

I mean, just the idea of Milito not getting injured EVER till the end of the season (after he was injured for a month lol) is dumb.

Then, buying rocchi for one purpose only and that is a sub player for MILITO and nobody else is dumb².

Because you ignored Livaja's development, being regular at Atalanta is million times better than being 3rd choice after Milito and Palacio. How many minutes did you expect him to get back then?

1. Carew is still in trial phase (around 15 days, I guess). If he is not in shape after this trial, he is out
2. He is fucking cheap. 300k€ for a new striker option: tall, strong, good header, I think it's worth a try. It's not the end of the world guys

Unfortunately, the Milito injury has hurt Schelotto's chances in the first team. There usually is no one in the penalty box to cross or pass to.

But even if Schelotto does nothing else this season, his goal against Milan was worth it. It was not just 1 point we got there. We also took away 2 points from Milan. And, what could end up becoming key, that goal put us ahead of Milan in head-to-head results.

Too bad we don't have Milito (and Samuel) for that final push for CL qualification. I don't think this squad is good enough to do it without them.

Milito himself never stayed in the box or scored from those situations. Palacio does even lesser, but even Milito won't have affected Schelotto much. Schelotto can work as winger in 442/4231 and that's the only thing he is good for, not as a wingback which is what Strama bought him for
