I believe we have enough creative in the mf. Wesley, Coutinho, Alvarez and with additional Forlan and Zarate. What we are lack of is the power-horse. The mf who can run up and down, stroll right and left to win balls and delivers. To connect in between backs and forwards. I'm thinking of someone like a young and fresh Deki.

We need one defensive midfielder,one winger and one defender.
I wish that the winger could be Reus at this point,his clause is about 18m but we should face the competition of Bayern and probably a couple of english teams (I remember Arsenal and L'pool),the boy would fit in the current Ranieri's system very well,hope to see an investment like this.

I've seen him with Italy, and he's very useful with them. I hope he will find his older form here, if we get him.

I agree that with alvarez, wes, couti and motta i think our midfield has enough creativity what we need is a strong midfield work horse who can keep the team playing with a high defensive line so we wont get caught. Milan are looking for something similar also.

As regards to a winger i'd like to see ramirez or illicic the latter is pretty expensive but i think if we dont play our waiting game for too long we can get the former. But meh we usually dont get a lot of established players and this makes our mercato unpredictable so we cant really get an idea who we are getting

New environment, better team-mates, higher objectives, his #1 friend being here etc. and he would shine again for around 5 million euros....

Say me another players at this age, with his experience for that low sum? THX!

Krasic? Is it a joke? The most 1-dimension player in Serie A. Push ball towards his right leg and run after it... and then... nothing. and his defensive skill is like zero.... Pepe is far better than him. Conte is not dumb.

This is one of those statements that is way over the top and is used too loosely. Fiorentina as a whole sucks in big matches...here is a great fact for you: since Montolivo's first season in 2004/05, Atalanta (his first year) and Fiorentina has only beaten Inter, Milan or Juve one time each while he was on the team!

That means in 6 1/2 seasons, 43 matches, his team has only won 3 times. It is very hard to look great, when the team around you also sucks in those matches. See Pazzini, or Sneijder or Maicon...all great players, but also look very bad when our team decides to play like shit.


I also feel Montolivo is a better player than Motta, being 3 years younger is a plus as well...

Im not against Montolivo for the price rumored. He could pretty much improve our midfield instantly.

But i kinda agree with Johnny. He has always bee anonymous in big matches, and is inconsistent as hell. Bossing the midfield one game, and is nowhere to be seen the next 5.

Then again, whos consistent from our midfielders?

If that's our policy, we would have not signed Pazzo. It's simply a matter of if that player is in our financial reach.
