The thing is, i think both are right. Bayer didnt want to sell in germany, but german teams are obligated to have release clause (like the spanish). And if Bayern offered that, Bayer would have no choise but to accept it. It goes down to, Vidal rejected bayern and went to JuBe, maybe because of the wages, or who knows. I also know Vidal stated that JuBe was his favourite team since always, or maybe he was just licking the fans ass...

Who knows what happened really, and tbh, i dont care. he went to jube, we missed him, whatever ther eason, and done deal.

if i remember correctly, i read that he says that Serie A, italy is closer to his Chile(life style, playing stylee of Serie A e.t.c) since both are latins. This is why he says he wanted juve.

Vidal had no release clause, his contract was ending next year. He was forcing a move to Bayern (his former coach is the coach there) and was desperate for a move. He made it pretty clear that he doesnt want to stay at Leverkusen and as they didnt want to lose him for free (nor let him go to Bayern) they sold him to Juve.

They were actually hoping for his price to increase after Copa America, hence why they held him for so long (and why they rejected a 10m bid for us). When that didnt happen, they accepted Juve's bid

He didnt want Juve, he settled for them...

The only club he wanted was Bayern but Leverkusen wont sell to them. Therefore he went to Juve and regardless of what he says now (to endear himself to Juve fans which a normal tactic) his first choice wasnt them...

I still seem to recall him making a pubic plea to Leverkusen to let him move to Bayern

That optional buy-out clause obviously makes no sense in this case. Frankly, I'm dissapointed if we can't squeeze few millions from this sale. If I was in charge of smallish PL side, I'd consider Muntari. Call me crazy.
