Maicon is a different type of player than Isla. It's not fair to compare them both

It WAS Bes, it's the past. Im not saying that to degrade Maicons contribution for us or his past quality, but to say that Isla is as talented as him, and COULD be our next Maicon. Not WILL, but could. With proper coach/team and little luck. Isla even now is one of the best RB/RWBs in the world, let alone in the future. I know, he is playing RCM now, but i like him much more as RB.

Not really. They have similar qualities when playing as RB. Both are attack minded full backs. The difference is that Isla is more versatile.

Well, we can agree that it all remains to be seen. :D

I have something to tell. Its about a player his name is Henrikh Mkhitaryan and is from Armenia who does play for FC Shakhtar he is one of the best player armenian have produced he has skills i will rate him right now above Hamsik and i have facts he was one of the best players for Europe 2012 qualification and evem made Team of the tournament for qualification. Sadly inter isnt interested in players that arnt from Brazil Argentina or Holland.
If it wasnt for Spanish ref we would had the greatest chance to qualified Euro 2012. I will later on introduce some video from youtube and show you his skill. I know sometime youtube can take the best part and leave the bad side but if you have watched any singel Armenian gave at Euro 2012 you will know what i am talking about

Besnik, let's put it this way. 6-7 years ago, did any Interista though that some random dude called Maicon playing in Monaco would push Javier freaking Zanetti out of the RB spot?

Actually a good point, but as for now and future it's extremely difficult to predict another Maicon. Just like you said, he was the reason why Zanetti was moved out of the RB spot. I don't know but I get a feeling that Maicon is truly difficult to be replaced.

It's pretty sad that he has been an awful disappointment recently though.

TBH I want Isla at Inter, RCM or RB/RWB isn't really important...perhaps it would be nice if he was brought for RCM position to give Faraoni chance to play continously, I believe in his ability to become first team regular.
As for Maicon, he was a beast and has set the bar really high for anyone and everyone who might play as RB for Inter. I guess we can only hope for someone to emulate/surpass him.

Of course he's difficult to replace. But we could change the name Maicon to Javier Zanetti and it would be all the same like Han expressed it. We can't know in advance these things.

good point han
thats exacly the first expression when i see maicon as a new signing push zanetti from his spot
is he that good? but he proved with his quality,,
excellent signing indeed,, in the 2006 not signing in 2010
==
to get isla, isnt a doubt, selling maicon is our priority and maybe jonathan too,,
faraoni, zanetti, isla and maybe guarin would be enough to cover our right side as RB and RCM
and we still have nagatomo who useful as backup RB,,

I believe our future midfield should be Guarin, Javi Martinez, M'Vila; three young, strong and talented players!

Also, two of them wanted by top clubs while their price is over 20 already.

Just Sahin would be already a massive upgrade.

But he hasn't played much all season. He at least looked ok which with more playing you have to think he'll progress. He may be one of the few bargains out there if Madrid is open to dealing him, I wouldn't mind adding him. Actually we should add him he should be one of our targets.

I was impressed personally. I think he was one of Madrid's better performers in the first half. He should have had an assist but Benzema missed an open goal. Also played a nice through ball for Ronaldo and sprayed the ball around well. Comments I've read from Madrid fans agree and say they want him to get more playing time.

Of course they want. Alonso has been one of the worst players for RM this season, if not the worst. He is not the same Alonso that was two years ago. And Sahin would be the PERFECT replacement for him, player with similar characteristics.
