If the player is already in italy it doesn't apply.

Signing Bastos would make alot of sense. I'd prefer him to basically every left-sided wingforward we have been linked with apart from Vargas. I rate Özil very high, but he might just be too pure No. 10 to find a sensible role in our starting 11. Sign Mascherano and Bastos or Vargas and keep Maicon. That would be one great mercato.

i think he's bein courted with the intention of being a lb. now the question arises what r his defensive capabilities like?

I don;t rate Veloso but I'll be interested to see how well he settles in Italy. Zapater was doing rather well initially, he deserved another shot but oh well.

I'm envisioning a 4-2-2-2 formation with Mascherano and Cambiasso as DMFs and then Sneiper and Motta as AMFs (with Motta playing slightly back and centrally and Sneiper to the left) but we would lack width.
