Valdano said he will not let Sneijder go until they find someone who can play his role, he is actually a starter for them..
---Lass---Sneijder---
---Kaka------
--Benzema---Ronaldo

To let Sneijder go they should get X. Alonso

Mate Sneijder is a more player for that Kaka's place.

Inter snap up Foquinha
Tuesday 7 July, 2009
Inter have officially signed Kerlon Moura Souza, known as Foquinha because of his tendency to balance the ball on his head.

The 21-year-old striker had spent the last season with Chievo, but barely set foot on the field with just four appearances, as he was suffering from injuries.

Nonetheless, he managed to score two goals and was out of contract, so a free agent to sign a new deal with Inter.

Foquinha is tied to the Nerazzurri until June 30 2012 and adds to their roster of young talents.

The player first shot to fame when he was top scorer with eight goals in seven games during the 2005 Under-17 tournament in Venezuela.

He became a YouTube sensation and earned his nickname Foquinha – the little seal – because of his habit of balancing the ball on his head.

He's 21, but barely played at Chievo, he might get loaned out again, or might stay in the primavera.

We got him already last summer, just placed him to Chievo to get some minutes. Which he didn't get because he got injured badly. We didn't pay anything for Kerlon to Chievo, they just loaned him year ago. Get your facts straight.

BREAKING NEWS: Juventus Sign Felipe Melo

Juventus have signed Felipe Melo from Fiorentina for €20 million plus the full ownership of Marco Marchionni, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The deal has been done and official confirmation will arrive tomorrow. Felipe Melo has signed a contract worth €2.6m a year.

Juventus have been in the market for a top-class centre midfielder, and their primary target had been Udinese’s Gaetano D’Agostino. However, the failure to agree on a transfer fee had seen Juve look elsewhere for possible alternatives.

Over the last few days there had been widespread speculation over a move for Felipe Melo, who has also been tracked by Premier League side Arsenal.

On Saturday, Sky Sport Italia claimed that Felipe Melo’s agents had reached an accord with Juventus, and that Bianconeri officials were to meet their Fiorentina counterparts on Tuesday in order to arrange a transfer fee and close the deal.

This was followed by an official announcement on the Fiorentina website, which stated that the Viola had only received one firm offer from Arsenal, and that they were negotiating a cash-plus-player exchange with The Gunners, that player being Emmanuel Eboue.

The saga continued to play out, and only today Fiorentina transfer chief Pantaleo Corvino insisted that Juventus had still not made an offer, and that Arsenal were in pole position.

However, Sky Sport Italia, an extremely reliable source, claim that Felipe Melo is now a Juventus player.

The 25-year-old will become the third Brazilian member of the Juventus line-up, along with Diego and Amauri.

Melo last year was a dude like Arnautovic this year(unknown to italian environment), and now I'm just waiting for everybody saying how we never sign anybody good, and that we suck nobody who we sign :D

ps. If they will sign him, they will acquire 2 good signs, but that doesn't change the fact, we're still miles before Juve is. And B, I am sure we ain't done yet. Calma.
ps2. Corvino said Fiorentina is not interested in Marchioni as for Melo deal, and he also said Juve didn't come close to Fiorentina asking price. That was today, so I'm anxious to see if he was lying that much.

Juve has the best midfield in Italy by far.

Btw Sneijder can easily play in a CM role near to the DM of the team, his defense is good enough, he is Lampard style. It's not that Mourinho don't wants him, problem is the player probably doesn't want to come.

Fortunately we didn't sign Lucho, he just signed for Marsella for 18 millions, a price which he is not worth.
Melo or Lucho are kind of midfielders we don't need, we need someone with better quality over these.

Horrible news. God forbid; next they'll hustle a milanese club to buy Trezeguet, and sign fullbacks like Kolarov and Santos with that money. Voila, they suddenly have the best starting eleven in Serie A. Juventus are back, big time.

I'm so tired of this crap. You speculate, think everything through, hope for the best. Dissapointment after dissapointment. I sure hope ALOT is happening behind the curtain, otherwise things look bleak. I'm fine with Motta and Milito arriving; I'm NOT AT ALL fine at NOTHING else happening, no departures, rumours of incoming players are mainly about Deco and crippled Arnautovic. Today I read we also tried to sign Onyewu; we seem to be back being Inter who signed Lucianos and Fadigas - as if Juventus have put a spell on us. Or then it's simply masochism.

HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO SIGN SO OBVIOUSLY STRONG PLAYERS SUCH AS FELIPE MELO? IT WAS IN OUR HANDS! INSTEAD WE GO FOR EITHER OLD ONES (MILITO, DECO) OR THE MOST INJURY PRONE PLAYER KNOWN TO MANKIND (MOTTA). THIS IS NO ROCKETSCIENCE FFS.

I kind of have to agree about Lucho. I am a big fan, but he's not worth that much. Melo then again, is one of the best central midfielders on the planet right now. He is dominant. I really don't know what or who you mean by better options Alex de Large.

Time to go for Hamsik, I suppose. It is clear we need new blood to our midfield. As a side note, it should also be clear we DON'T NEED ANOTHER GREAT 31 YEARS OLD CENTREBACK. There's a distinct lack of common sense in our management at his very moment, it seems. While it should be obvious our management know more about football than we do here, some decisions are just plain dumb. No way around it.

This is truly a blow if there is any truth. Damn, how did Juve still have cash to spend? I thought they were done after the 25 mil for Diego.

Well some of you guys were slagging Melo before, but now Juve signing him, it's panic button time?

Relax, he's a great player but we are already stocked in that position.
