The latter is correct. And in that case the AM won't play as AM what you expect AM to play (as pure technical trequartista I assume). In 4-3-3 case all the midfielders have defensive responsibilities very much. In 4-3-1-2 AM has some defensive responsibilities also, so Zlatan, Aguero, Cassano, Kerlon won't play as AM in that formation either.

NimAraya is right that Aguero is just a forward, but Robben is ain't AM at all. He's a pure winger.

Well IMO Rube really didn't need Melo, if they don'y reinforce their squad where they actually need reinforcing (defence) they'll end up where they left off last season.

Meanwhile, we could have used both Diego and Melo I hope our management know what they're doing. It's obvious they're not gonna spend like crazy (Moratti learned that the hard way), but it's pretty sad that we haven't made a really good signing since the 2006/2007 season =/ (maicon and ibra).

Melo has some problems in his brain, he is a potential redcard-holder for every match (we have already too many in this type) Very strong and physical, but his pos is DM so not really need for him.

No Melo. We have enough backups. What we need are star world class midfield, not another sub.

All of these players you mention, De Rossi, Hamsik, Hernanes, Fabregas, Melo.. They're all CENTRAL midfielders. Come on people.. We need an AMF.

Signing Melo is gonna end up like a Motta one. If we wanna rely on some players skills because they are Slightly better than our current players won't take us anywhere. Yeah Melo is a good player but we already have bunchs of same type players in our squad, so no thx.

Thx Jose we already have sucha player: Stankovic, Muntari and Cambiasso. We need a totally offensive player. Mou needs to get off a little bit from this african playstyle! Watching Inter matches has been so painful with all these physical players.

18-20 milion is a good price for Hernanens but he wont come to Inter. It will be Melo,Motta and if we really lucky, Cassano.

Selling Muntari would be like admitting that his mercato last year was a total failure (which it was) because he would be letting go of our only "decent" signing last year. I don't think Mourinho would do that. He's too arrogant for that.
