I agreed with what is being said with Mutu here. He has thrived on being the focal point of his team's attack when he played in 'smaller' sides such as Hellas Verona, Parma and Fiorentina. He struggled when he has to share that privilege in teams like Juve and Chelsea. And another thing, just like Berbatov, their position on the field is too similar to Zlatan.

We should get a striker, someone who'd bang in the half-chances our team creates. As said, Drogba or Eto'o would be the best buy but right now, I really do not mind taking a chance with someone like Huntelaar. Even though he's not proven himself in the big stages, I feel very safe because we have Crespo and Cruz backing us up.

But of course, our decision to buy a new forward should be based on how promising Adriano looks like during the next 6 months. I just hope that he'd get some first team action and not relegated to the bench.

We don't need new striker at all!

I don't believe that Moratti will spend some crazy amount (around 30 mil.) for a player who isn't needed and that's the money we must spend if we wanna bring a striker who can push our team to a higher level.

I respect players like Quagliarela, Mutu, Amauri, Huntelaar, Cassano but there is no chance that they are better from Cruz, Crespo and Suazo. Balotelli needs time and space. Old Adriano is much better player from all of them so we must see how that situation will develop.

Players who can make a difference in attack are Eto'o (Barca won't let him go), Drogba (price is too high considering his age) and Toni (with transfer request he wouldn't be so expensive and he would be great partner for Ibrahimovic).

Knowing Mancini style, if we go for striker it will be someone strong and with some experiance, so I dont believe in huntelaar.
My first choice is Adriano, and with strikers we have now,and will be here next season too, we can afford to bring him back for next season and see what happens

To be honest, Slavkovski and Ribas seem like dead meat. But hey, we could hope.

How about idea of, if, Adriano leaves, we offer him and some cash for tevez?

He can play wide, central, deeper, has great hard work and determinatio, him + Ibra and even one more striker - brillant

A lot depends on these Dinho rumours... Suppose we get him (allthough it's unlikely), I don't think we need another striker if Adri leaves...

Suazo, Crespo, Cruz, Ibra, Dinho, Balotelli.

More than enough. We have everything in attack, strength, pace, trickery and natural instincts(Crespo/Cruz).

I actually think Dinho will be more midfielder i.e. in the role that Figo plays with El Magito(is that Scarpini for Jimenez?) as his backup.

Crespo/Cruz-Ibra/Suazo

Jimenez/Dinho supported by Cuchu, Zanetti and Stan/Vieira etc etc.

Wow, when was the last time we could predict line ups for next season for a transfer happy club like Inter?

Can Figo play in attack? No.

Can Dinho play in attack? No. He is not a striker, nor forward. He was once, but not anymore.

Sure he is more of an offensive player, but that doesn't mean right away that he is a striker. Figo is more of an offensive player and I don't consider him a midfielder. For a midfielder you must be able to defend at some extend. Neighter Dinho, nor Figo can do it effectivly. Dinho can't play instead of Ibrahimovic or Cruz, or any striker else, as his characteristics are best for trequarterista position. It's the same, as people would like to play Ibra behind the strikers, sure he could. But it's like loosing 50% of his abbilities in that position. The same would ho with Dinho.

If he comes, he will come to fill the Figo shoes, so I don't see why we should be good in the strikers department. It has nothing to do with it. If Adriano will leave, Dinho coming will solve only one issue - the trequarterista position, not both of them.

Another quality post, we have Balotelli to replace Adri.

Channel 4 has the story now.

Inter plot Aguero megabid
Wednesday 23 January, 2008
Inter are eyeing Argentine striking starlet Sergio Aguero and there are rumours that Massimo Moratti is preparing a huge bid.

Moratti has hinted that the Italian champions will add another superstar to the ranks in the summer as the Nerazzurri look to create a dynasty.

There have been suggestions that Ronaldinho will be the new man, but Milan still seem to be in pole position for the Brazilian, prompting the Inter chief to look elsewhere.

Aguero is one of La Liga’s brightest young stars and has already become a key component in the Atletico Madrid side.

At the age of 19, FIFA’s Young Player of the Year for 2007 is already an Argentine international and one of Europe’s hottest properties.

Reports suggest that Moratti is lining up a £20m offer to secure Aguero’s signature in the summer and that Coach Roberto Mancini has his heart set on working with the youngest player ever to debut in Argentina’s Primera Liga.

While Atletico have made it clear that they have no intention of parting with such a prized asset, they would be making an £8m profit, having paid Independiente just £12m in May 2006.

Much depends on whether fourth-placed Atletico can secure Champions League football, as Aguero will be looking to take part in Europe’s showpiece tournament next term.
